In the Vegas Wise Guy newsletter, we will take a weekly look a division, looking at this past week’s results and what might lie ahead. We will start with the AFC East this week.

ew England (1-0 SU&ATS) – The New England Patriots were a fairly popular play against team at Tennessee and they proved doubters wrong in tumbling Tennessee 34-13. Two noticeable differences in the Patriots was how much larger they were in the defensive front seven to improve on last year’s run defense. Also, New England was 20th running the pigskin last year and Steven Ridley gave the appearance he’s ready to be -the guy-rushing for 125 yards. The Pats will play at Gillette Stadium for the first time in 2012 this Sunday against Arizona and they are 5-0 ATS versus the Cardinals.

.Y. Jets (1-0 SU&ATS) – The proved the value of trying to interpret the preseason means, nothing. Mark Sanchez was on target to his new best bud Santonio Holmes, but two a couple of potential playmakers in Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley. The Jets running game also had some punch with Shonn Green racking up 94 yards and it looks like reports of the Gang Green having him carry more of the offensive load appears true. The Flyboys will now have to prepare for a very physical affair with the Steelers, who are off a 23-20 win-loss at Denver.

uffalo (0-1 SU&ATS) – The early results on Buffalo’s new defense were not impressive,

surrendering 48 points to the Jets. The 384 yards allowed was bad enough, but letting New York being 10-14 (71.4%) on 3rd and 4th down was inexcusable. However, the up and down play of QB Ryan Fitzpatrick continues to haunt the Bills after a three interception game. Buffalo will face Kansas City in their home opener, with both clubs seeking their first victory. From a handicapping perspective, the Bills are in a advantageous position, having won five straight over the Chiefs and are 5-0 ATS against them.
