Welcome Letter A Letter from the President Welcome to the 4th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, Brand You! We are thrilled to have you with us today. Integrating Woman Leaders, Inc. exists to develop individual women into leaders through empowerment, support and connections. Over the past three years more than 1,200 men and women have attended our annual Women’s Leadership Conference and what an experience it has been! From those who have attended, we have learned which topics are most relevant to your personal and professional development. We have listened to your feedback, which ultimately led us to the theme, Brand You. This year it is all about your own personal discovery of your brand and how that translates into your current position, how it fits with your future career aspirations, and how it fits into your core being as an individual. Put simply, to know if you’ve discovered your brand, you need to make this equation equal: Your self-impression = How people perceive you

AN ADVISOR WHO KNOWS THAT

TODAY’S WOMEN ARE A FINANCIAL FORCE.

Merrill Lynch is proud to support The IWL Women’s Leadership Conference. Merrill Lynch Financial Advisors are aware of the unique personal wealth management and business needs and issues facing today’s successful women like you. Whether you need assistance with investing, philanthropy, estate planning services, or group retirement plans, our Financial Advisors are here to help. They have the experience and insights to help you create a customized strategy that helps put you on track for the future you envision while you manage life’s everyday challenges. For more information, please contact: Greg Achten, Director Parkwood Five 510 East 96th Street Indianapolis, IN 46240 (317) 848-2100 www.local.ml.com/carmel_in

Personal branding is an important topic; however, it is not an issue most busy women spend time thinking about. When we began this year’s journey to define and create a meaningful experience for you today, the Brand You topic became our focal point. Our team evaluated our own career experiences, challenges and successes to uncover that we had not looked at ourselves in this light either. As a corporate executive with 30 years of experience, I realized I had never really thought about my own personal brand. I have spent years branding products and companies, but never thought about applying that to myself. While creating today’s content, this topic has made a profound impact on me, to the point that I think about it every day! Please use this opportunity to learn from those around you today, interact with new faces, and try out your personal brand in different ways. Today we are especially proud of our inspiring speakers and the rich content being shared. Our hope is that you leave today feeling inspired by the incredible men and women presenting and that you leave empowered to be an advocate for your own personal brand. “Declare” what you want to be and how you want others to perceive you! And as the CEO of You, Inc., embrace what makes you unique!

Sincerely, Jennifer Browning Holmes Founder & President, Integrating Woman Leaders, Inc. My brand tagline: A dynamic leader focused every day in making a difference through integrity, passion and commitment.

Meet Your Host Kim Graham Lee

Vice President – Operations, True U (a division of DEFENDER Direct) Kim has over 30 years of diverse business experience including c-level leadership of start-up and growth companies and account management for some of the largest corporations in the world. Building upon a successful 19-year career at Walker, which is what brought her to Indiana, she led client service teams, global marketing and sales, and new measurement efforts tied to corporate social responsibility/ citizenship, corporate reputation, and business integrity. During that first chapter of her career, Kim identified her professional passion as helping grow other “good” businesses. For over the past decade she has led emerging Indiana-based companies primarily in the technology sector. Her “tours of duty” include serving as the CEO of Vontoo, President of OneBridge, President of Hufford Financial Advisors, CMO of Bluelock, and Interim CEO of NPower Indiana. She advises other tech start-ups and has a particular interest in those that are using technology to connect people and enhance lives. Kim recently joined the DEFENDER Direct team to help launch True U, a new division of DEFENDER. True U helps individuals and organizations embrace the innovative model of leadership and business culture that has led to DEFENDER’s explosive growth and success. This unique model is based on DEFENDER’s core philosophy that businesses don’t grow, people do. Kim has been a key contributor to the program growth of the IWL Women’s Leadership Conference. As Program Chair for this year’s conference, she and her dedicated committee have devoted countless hours to working with the impressive set of speakers and partners to create and deliver an impactful program and experience. Her involvement with IWL began in 2011 when she spoke as a panelist. She has served on the IWL Board since 2011 and co-chaired last year’s Program Committee. Active in the community, Kim is particularly interested in helping children in poverty and mentoring other women in their careers. She has been recognized for her groundbreaking leadership efforts to build an anti-bullying program before bullying captured the national spotlight. She and her son speak publicly about the importance of education and prevention of bullying behavior. Kim is proudest of her role as mom to her two children--Brent, an accountant at Katz, Sapper & Miller, and Brittany, a senior at the University of Michigan and co-captain of the nationally-ranked Women’s Volleyball Team. Kim believes that life is an exciting adventure, even with its ups and downs, and that every day is truly a gift.

Kim’s brand tagline: Connector with purpose and heart.

• In this fast paced, technology driven world it’s easy to get lost in the crowd and lost in ourselves. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Slow down and simplify your life by focusing on 6 key dimensions of your wellness wheel. Your balanced well being will help your personal brand shine and leave a lasting legacy for others to admire. • Your wellness wheel has many dimensions. When one of your dimensions is off, it is easy to feel out of control. However, focusing on one dimension at a time and building upon that success will empower you to put your well-being first.

City County Council, 7th District

• Women today are often pulled in many directions, causing your personal needs to get addressed last. Don’t let this compromise your personal brand. Manage your wellness needs first and you can handle opportunities thrown from any direction.

Servant Leadership and Success: Combining Hunger and Heart Key Messages

Susan Mosey DEFENDER Direct Director, Leadership Development

• Love, Serve, Lead – When you love someone, you want to serve them. When you serve others, they give you their permission to lead them. • Consider making your #1 brand attribute “making others successful.” Try this for a brand promise: “As part of my team, you will execute on your greatness.” • Being a servant leader does not mean you compromise your position or don’t care about winning. You can lead with both heart and hunger. As a servant leader you win through serving your team and helping others win.
