The Scorzonera genus with 180 species is the largest genus in the tribe lactuceae. This plant is widely distributed in the arid regions of Eurasia and Africa. The aim of this study was microscopic study of leaf epidermis of 21 species of Scorzonera genus belonging to sub genus of Scorzonera. Several features such as tricome variety, stomata type, stomata index, stomata size, pore size, etc were examined. The leaf epidermal features confirmed the classification of species in different sections. Parviflorae section can be distinguished from other sections by secretory tricome. The sections Nerrosae have lower stomata index than other sections. The most regular form of the epidermal cell walls in sections Papposae and smallest stomata size can be seen in the section Intricatae.

½Zf‡ÂyÊ Ì^—ž]ZÀ»ÁɁÁZŒ¯cZ¬Ì¬ve‚¯€» Taxonomy of tribe Antirrhineae was studied in Iran (with the exception of the genus Linaria). Genus Albrunia Speta. with 2 species A. fugax (Boiss.& Noe) Speta. was investigated and possessed two species , A. fugax and A. foveopilosa that this later species is Endemic in Iran. All of this species are distributed in Sahara_Sindian, Irano-Turanin, Zagrosian, phytogeographic regions and they are annual herb, in spite of the fact that there is a great degree of variation in form of the often elaborately sculeptured seeds of the Antirrhineae and it has asystematic evaluation seed morphology might be used as the basis for a classificatory system and seed variation in the tribe is mention by many authors to assist in diffining generic and infrageneric limits, so seeds micromorphology was carried. Based on seed shape and sculeptering icromorphology of pollen and seed was examined using a Scanning Electron Microscope Observations indicated two morphological seed types including foveolate-reticulate with multicellular tubercle at junction of some ridges and tuberculate, tubercle hair like, fragile without rigid pattern, as well as pollen grain in A. fugax showedone morphological pollen types including, foveolate-reticulate, trizonocolpate, elliptic or elliptic-prolate colpi based on seed ornamentation and pollen shape, colpi and exine sculepturing. Results showed that seed/pollen ornamentation is systematically valuable to distinct taxa, although it does not give an absolute answer.
