Book/Internet Connections Internet connections to the 8th grade curriculum textbooks help students in many ways. For some students, the internet sites offered by publishers presents course information in easy to read format. For others, the sites offer more depth and breath of a subject than a teacher is able to cover in a class period. Web activities and quests lead students through national and state recognized sites. The sites also offer kid friendly reviews, note taking strategies, and practice worksheets, games and quizzes to help prepare students for classes, tests, and quarterlies. Although, the Internet sites are not a requirement for course grades, they do offer students an exciting way to gain knowledge and practice. These sites are also a resource for students who have forgotten their textbook at school.
