SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE RECORDS Files of Leo V. Konz, director of the Business and Information Services section of the Interagency Services Division of InterTechnologies Group (InterTech). InterTech is the core computer operations organization for State of Minnesota agencies. The Business and Information Services section collaborates with customers, taking full advantage of information infrastructure, data investments and risk management solutions that support customer goals and improve business processes. Konz's files document the various activities of the section, particularly a baseline study of InterTech’s services, data administration, DBase 2 implementation, disaster recovery, electronic data exchange, the Statewide Systems Project, electronic mail delivery, computer security, Web site design, and Y2K preparation. There are also files covering Customer Exchange, InterTech directors, MIS (Management Information Systems) directors, and section staff meetings, relations with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Human Services Department, and incomplete runs of the newsletters, Friday Report and InterTech News.
