JAIME LUIS CARRERA CAMPOS MSc. Researcher
Professional profile and experience He is a Guatemalan professional in the agriculture and environmental management field with five years of experience in research related to the environment and natural resources, water, forest and solid waste in particular. He has a BSc. Degree in Agronomy from the Landivar University of Guatemala, an MSc. Degree in Environmental Economy from Wageningen University in Holland and studies in development, economy and the environment (FLACSO-Guatemala). During his academic studies he was awarded the Best BSc. Thesis of the Year Award. He is currently a full time researcher at the Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment Institute at the Rafael Landivar University. He is responsible of issues and topics related to water resources. His work experience includes working for the Guatemala’s Environmental Profile and consultancies for the San Carlos University of Guatemala, , CEPAL, DDM-GTZ, INAB, UTJ-RIC/ PROTIERRA, among other. In the teaching field he has been a professor at the Environmental and Agriculture Sciences School of the Rafael Landivar University and the Natural Resources and the Environment MSc program at the graduate programs of the San Carlos University of Guatemala.
