Agronomy Management Sequence This sequence emphasizes a broad knowledge of agricultural production, science, and agribusiness management. Graduates are employed by companies as crop consultants, for sales and marketing of equipment, and by companies specializing in agronomic products including seed, fertilizer, and pesticides. Additionally, career opportunities are available with local, state, and federal governmental agencies, including such organizations as Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Extension Service, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Agronomy Management Sequence Students enrolled in this sequence must complete at least 55 hours in Agriculture. Required Courses for this sequence are: AGR 109 - Introduction to the Agriculture Industry AGR 150 – Principles of Agronomy AGR 157 – Soil Science AGR 234 - Soil and Water Conservation AGR 272 – Agricultural Genetics AGR 357—Soil Fertility and Fertilizers Choose one from the following courses: AGR 110 – Introductory Agricultural Economics AGR 170 – Introduction to Animal Science Fifteen hours of senior level agribusiness courses Twelve hours of agronomy electives CHE 102 -- Chemistry and Society or CHE 110 and 112 — Fundamentals of Chemistry and Lab or CHE 140 and CHE 141– General Chemistry I and General Chemistry II BSC 101 – Fundamental Concepts in Biology or BSC 196 —- Biological Diversity or BSC 197 — Molecular and Cellular Basis of Life
