NOTES

TO THE TABLE

1)

These frequencies are carrier (reference) frequencies for SSB in this Table.

2)

The carrier (reference) frequencies 3023 kHz and 5680 kHz are intended for common use on a worldwide basis. 2.1) a)

CC CEP CWP NP SP

The use of these frequencies in any part of the world is authorized: aboard aircraft for:

i) communications with approach and aerodrome control; CC CAR SAM CC EA SEA

ii) communication with an aeronautical station when other frequencies of the station are either unavailable or unknown. b) at aeronautical stations for aerodrome and approach control under the following conditions: i) with mean power limited to a value of not more than 20 watts in the antenna circuit; ii) special attention must be given in each case to the type of antenna used in order to avoid harmful interference; iii) the power of aeronautical stations which use these frequencies in accordance with the above conditions may be increased to the extent necessary to meet certain operational requirements subject to coordination between the administrations directly concerned and those whose services may be adversely affected.

Ⅲ Ⅳ Ⅲ Ⅴ Ⅳ Ⅴ Ⅲ Ⅴ Ⅲ

2.2) Notwithstanding these provisions, the frequency 5680 kHz may also be used at aeronautical stations for communication with aircraft stations when other frequencies of the aeronautical stations are either unavailable or unknown. However, this use shall be restricted to such areas and conditions that harmful interference cannot be caused to other authorized operations of stations in the aeronautical mobile service. 2.3) Additional particulars regarding the use of these channels for the above purposes may be recommended by the meetings of ICAO.

2.4) Frequencies 3023 kHz and 5680 kHz may also be used by stations of other mobile services participating in coordinated air-surface search and rescue operations, including communications between these stations and participating land stations. Aeronautical stations are authorized to use these frequencies to establish communications with such stations.
