SONIC receives Business Shine Award Queen Mallard X SONIC Drive-In was recently awarded the Business Shine Award by the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. The award is sponsored by the City of Stuttgart. It recognizes companies in Stuttgart who have recently improved the appearance of their business. SONIC Drive-In built a new store in Stuttgart last year that included an expansion of its business and extensive landscaping. "We're pleased to recognize SONIC for their efforts to enhance the appearance of their business and to improve the service to their customers," said Amanda Lock, chairman of the Chamber Beautification Committee. "They definitely deserve the Business Shine Award."

BUSINESS SHINE — The Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce recently presented its Business Shine Award sponsored by the City of Stuttgart to SONIC Drive-In. Presenting the award were Alderman Donald Stephens, Stephen Bell, Amanda Lock and Angela Reinhart.

CHAMBER PRESIDENT — Donna Norman of Norman Floor Covering visits with Chamber President Henry Newby at the Business After Hours in March.

FESTIVAL DONATION — Cheryl Shook, chairman of the Queen Mallard Pageant, presents a check for $700 for the Wings Over the Prairie Festival, to Chamber President Henry Newby. The money will be used to promote the pageant and festival.

WELCOME — Phil Jackson, the newest sales agent at Thompson Trice Realty, visits with Larry Lefler and Leah Williams of LEF Realty, during a Business After Hours held in March at Thompson Trice Realty to welcome Jackson. ARKANSAS CHAMPION — Queen Mallard Leah Conrad congratulates Brad Allen of Judsonia, who recently won the Arkansas State Duck Calling Contest held in March in Stuttgart. He will represent the state at the 75th annual World's Championship Duck Calling Contest in November.

Good times roll at Bowling for Business X Everybody can’t golf -– but anybody can bowl! That was true last month when 70 members of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce participated in Bowling for Business on St. Patrick's Day. The annual event is sponsored by Farmers & Merchants Bank. The set-em-up-and-knockem-down networking tournament featured 14 five-person teams -- a total of 70 bowlers. Producers Rice Mill won the team competition and got to take home the Bowling for Business traveling trophy. Team members included Michele Key, Jarod Manis, Kevin Brownell Sr., Pat Ruff and Emma Caskey. Arkansas County Bank won the Best Shirt Award for their "Who's Your Paddy?" design that celebrated St. Patrick's Day. Highest individual score went to Kevin Brownell Sr., with Producers Rice Mill. Bob Patel of the Best Western Inn team won the "Best Score If It Were Golf Award!" The winning team during the networking competition included Jim Smith, Kevin Brownell Sr., Terri McIntosh, Jennifer Earney and Amanda Maier. The first round was a mixand-match competition that allowed participants to forge new business relationships. The second round was the team competition. Pizza Pro provided pizza for event.
