Brown Bag Lunch Concert Join us Friday, November 1 Hope College Music Department entertains us once again with another Free Brown Bag Lunch Concert
Noon - 1pm Founded in 2008 and directed by Hope College piano professor, Dr. Andrew Le (Drew), Brown Bag has rapidly become one of the most popular and innovative music events in the Holland area. Built on the premise that classical music should be accessible by all, the series presents classical art music in the beautiful gallery space of the Holland Area Arts Council
Sunday Afternoon Concert GRUPO HURAKAN to perform Musika Rustica Sunday, November 3 at 3pm at the Holland Area Arts Council This free concert is the finale to the 2013 Viva la Vida Festival HURAKAN is a group of four Mexican musicians devoted to playing rustic instruments through passages of songs and poetry in Spanish, English and Nahuatl, one of the most important languages of our ancestors. Drums and flutes made out of wood and clay, seashells, bones and seeds are part of their organic musical side, which is complemented with strings and synthesizers and turntable. HURAKAN BLOGSPOT
