Ashley Breen-Verga - Leadership Tech Valley

ASHLEY AshleyBREEN-VERGA Breen-Verga Leadership Tech Valley Class of 2012 Director of Communications & Marketing The Albany Academies Ashley Breen serves as the Director of Communications & Marketing for The Albany Academies. In this role, she oversees the organization’s internal and external communications including websites, newsletters, social media, marketing and advertising. Ashley is responsible for producing The Albany Academies biannual magazine, A2, all major publications, and website content. She plays a lead role in the Albany Children’s Book Festival – hosted by The Albany Academies—which welcomes 70 authors and illustrators to campus attracting more than 1,200 attendees each year. She is also coordinating the marketing of the Bicentennial Celebration which spans from March 2013 through May 2014. Ashley previously spent four years with Best Buddies International – a non-profit organization dedicated to creating more socially inclusive environments for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities-- where she served as an Area Director for New York State. While in this role she more than doubled the number of programs throughout the state and balanced the budget for the first time in a ten-year span. Ashley completed her MBA in Organizational Leadership and Marketing in 2010. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
