ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the role of Aspirin and/or Glimepiride (a second-generation sulfonylurea drug) in treating diabetic patients of type II, noninsulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), and to investigate the effect of Aspirin on the pharmacokinetics of Glimepiride in healthy subjects. The study included thirty non-obese diabetic patients with NIDDM: 12 males and 18 females, age range 40-65 years. All diabetic patients had initial serum insulin level lower than normal (
