At Regis we take great pride in providing an outstanding intercollegiate athletic experience for our student-athletes, where they represent Regis as a Division III member of the NCAA. This year, we are proud to become part of the NECC (New England Collegiate Conference). On the field, the majority of our teams compete for our league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament each season and our student-athletes are consistently honored on the All-Conference and All-Region teams for their athletic achievements. In addition, they also get the support they need to succeed academically and shine in the classroom, and Regis’ graduation rates are regularly among the highest in the nation among Division III schools.

Field Hockey The defending 2011 NECC Champion Regis College Pride begin their title defense in October as the Crimson and Gold attempt to capture the NECC’s first NCAA Tournament bid. The Pride have been led by its underclassmen as three different players lead Regis in scoring, including sophomore Cheyenne Genga and a pair of freshmen in Becka Sarson and Devan Wirtanen.

, Men s Basketball

Track and Field On the men’s side, the Pride had a record-setting year as Jeremy Israel was the first athlete to qualify for the ECAC Championships held in New York City, where he grabbed a bronze medal in the 400-meter dash. For the women, Tori Rapsis competed in her fourth-straight D3 New England Championship in the pole vault, breaking her record twice during the meet.

Regis College picked up its first-ever win in the postseason in 2012 as the Pride defeated Wheelock College in the NECC Quarterfinals, 59–49. The Pride were led by NECC Honorable Mention Team selection Osanto Marc, who averaged 11.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in his freshman campaign.

Women’s tennis is off to one of its best starts in program history as they are unbeaten through four matches. The Pride swept threestraight NECC Rookie of the Week awards to start the year with Abigail Wehr winning two, and Jazz Hicks adding the other. On the men’s side, NECC Player and Rookie of the Year Mike Beluch looks to lead the Pride back to the NECC postseason after Regis made it to the NECC Championship match in 2011.

Our coaches want to hear from you!

Regis College enters its second season in the NECC after making it to the quarterfinals of the NECC Tournament last year. The Pride’s Sara Gold entered the Regis College history books on September 13 with her 1,000th career dig.

Regis College was awarded the NECC Team Sportsmanship Award in 2012 and second year head coach Scott Wright hopes his first recruiting class will help the Pride grab its first postseason bid in program history.

Swimming & Diving First year head coach James Sweeney takes over a program that had a strong 2011– 2012 campaign. The Pride finished second at the 2011 GNAC Championship meet and had multiple records broken throughout the year by several of its athletes including Alex Graf, Zach Earl, Andy LaForest, Shannan O’Neil and Haley Bowen.

Regis College looks to return to the NECC postseason following an NECC Quarterfinals appearance a season ago. Freshman keeper Rachel Gagnon has already picked up two NECC Rookie of the Week awards as Gagnon has only allowed two goals in the Pride’s first six games.

After a tough nonconference schedule to begin the 2012 season, the Pride began its march towards their first NECC postseason bid with a 2–1 win over Elms in the conference play opener. Senior Steve Tavares currently leads the NECC with eight goals scored in only nine games played.
