AVIAREPS APPOINTS GLENN JOHNSTON AS VICE PRESIDENT CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS (Munich, 31 July 2013) AVIAREPS, the global leader in tourism and airline representation, is pleased to announce with immediate effect the appointment of Glenn Johnston as Vice President Corporate Communications and Public Relations. While remaining the General Manager of the AVIAREPS Dubai office, Glenn’s additional role will see him responsible for the delivery and development of new public relations platforms for organisations seeking global dissemination of key corporate and industry related messages through the entire AVIAREPS international network of 48 offices. Commenting on the appointment Chairman and CEO of the AVIAREPS Group Michael Gaebler noted: “The appointment coincides with our vision to make AVIAREPS the world’s leading communications, sales and marketing organisation among airlines, airports, tourism bodies, trade and retail promotion entities. The AVIAREPS board is confident in the abilities of Glenn to deliver an ambitious plan for corporate communications development within the group.” Glenn’s new role will be in addition to that as General Manager of the AVIAREPS Dubai office which he has held for more than 6 years. Prior to establishing the AVIAREPS Dubai office Glenn was Account Director at AVIAREPS Marketing Garden’s Tokyo office, where for over five years he was the Japan Director for the Government of Dubai, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, as well as the Japan PR Country Manager for SriLankan Airlines. Glenn brings with him a wealth of public relations and project planning expertise including various positions at Japanese government organisations at both the regional and national level, as well as holding the position of International Media Manager for the Japan Organizing Committee for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
