Dear friends, Hope you have already received the first communication regarding JIPMER NEOCON 2010. This conference is being organized by the Department of Pediatrics, JIPMER and Tamilnadu Neonatology Forum (TNNF) on the 19th to 21st November, 2010 at JIPMER, Puducherry. Eminent National and International Faculty will be participating to throw light on a number of practical and problematic areas in Neonatology and advances in management. The workshops and scientific paper presentations of the conference will have great relevance to the Neonatologists, Paediatricians, Obstetricians, postgraduates and practitioners. On behalf of the Organizing team, we invite you to enjoy this academic feast in Puducherry, a scenic coastal town. Away from the hustle and bustle of big city, Puducherry is a quiet little town on the southern coast. The unmistakable French connection, the tree lined boulevards, the quaint colonial heritage buildings, the spiritual scene, the endless stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches, backwater, a surprising choice of restaurants serving a mélange of cuisines, provide a heady mix that draw travelers from near and far. It is the perfect place to arrive if you want to take the pace of life down a few notches. JIPMER campus is located in the western entrance of Pondicherry on the highway and spread over 195 acres of sloping land - a hillock, known in vernacular as 'Gorimedu'. A stroll across the green avenues of the campus is indeed a pleasant experience. Registrations for the conference and workshops are now open. The text of the 'Abstract' should contain not more than 250 words. It should be structured as far as possible in the following manner (Except Case Reports): (a) Introduction (b) Aims & Objectives (c) Material & Methods (including statistical methods where relevant) (d) Results (e) Conclusions. Oral presentation will be for six minutes. Two minutes will be allowed for discussion. The best paper will receive a certificate.
