THE INSIDE STORY

N o r t h v i e w ’s a n n u a l F a l l Kickoff happens this Sunday, September 10 from 2:00pm 6:00pm in the field. The Kickoff has proven to be a great time for the church and the community to celebrate the beginning of another ministry year. There are lots of activities for the whole family! The younger ones will enjoy the 7 inflatables that are designed just for them while the older crowd will be kept busy with events like trike races, tests of strength, mini golf, beach volleyball and much more. A sure hit this year will be the Euro Bungee that propels thrill seeking individuals to astronomic heights, along with the Wipe Out Punching Game where you have to avoid getting “punched” as you run across the inflatable. If you are not into games, there will be plenty of opportunity to sit back and listen to live music or just to catch up with old friends. Bring your lawn chairs, beach blankets and enjoy the great day! The live music will play from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.

Northview staff are head over heels in anticipation of Fall Kickoff 2017! As is Northview’s custom, there will be lots of food available, and all for free. SnoCones and popcorn will be available all day at the snack tent. A BBQ that will be like a party in your mouth will be served at 4:00pm in the Bubble.

Also this year, there will be a Pastor’s Challenge that will have Pastors Jeff, Ron, Jon and Andy competing with their wives for bragging rights for a whole year. Without giving too much away, it involves paint-ball guns and itchy trigger fingers!

This event is for the whole family, your friends, and for your neighbors too! A special thank you to the Women’s Ministry for once again setting up a photo booth for you and your friends to take some great photos!

SPORTS AT KICKOFF

What is the Northview Fall Kickoff without the food. Forget the mini donuts, samosas are the must have food at kickoff. If samosas are not your thing, maybe the BBQ hot dogs will hit the spot!

TRANSLATION MINISTRY EXPANDING Northview is expanding our translation ministry to include Romanian! This will happen at the Sunday 11:30am service in the Worship Center. If you would like to listen to our services in Romanian, there are headsets available for you to use at the Info Booth.

Beach volleyball, always a big hit at fall kickoff! The sand is ready and the weather looks perfect for a great afternoon of beach volleyball.

NORTHVIEW YOUNG ADULTS

Join a Community Group! Our Fall Session is starting the week of September 18. Fill out a Community Group connect card and put it into the offering bag or come and see us in the foyer after the service. Jump 6 is for students in grade 6. Join us Monday, September 25 for the Jump 6 Kickoff. Games, activities, awesome leaders, worship, give-aways & much more! 6:30pm - 8:00pm in West Court. Attention parents! There will be a parent meeting at 7:30pm in West Court to meet Pastor Dan & hear about this year’s ministry.

VERTICAL EDGE

Vertical Edge is for students in grades 7 & 8. Join us Tuesday, September 19 for our Vertical Edge Kickoff. Vertical Edge kicks off with games, giveaways, worship, awesome activities & much more! 7:00pm - 9:00pm in West Court. Attention parents! Arrive a little early to pick up your kids so you can attend a short meeting from 8:40pm - 9:00pm. This is a chance to meet Pastor Dan, learn about the ministry, and hear what’s in store for this year.

High School Youth happens every Thursday evening at 7:00pm! All students in grade 9-12 are welcome to join us in West Court for evenings of community, games, worship, teaching, and building relationships! Pick up is 9:15pm.

Northview Young Adults exists to help people grow in community with God and with each other. Starting September 15, we meet every other Friday at 7:30pm for a night of worship, teaching, and community. We hope to see you there!

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES

Join us this fall as we study the book of 1 Corinthians. Women meet on Monday evenings or Wednesday mornings and men meet on Wednesday evenings, beginning September 18 and 20. For more details and registration, please visit our website.

Next Seasons luncheon is on Friday, September 29 at 11:30am with Special Guest: Rosemary Siemens (Violinist). Tickets go on sale September 16/17 and 23/24. Cost is $10 per person.

Northview Prayer Nights are coming this Fall! This is a focused time of prayer and song on Fridays October 6, November 3 and December 1 in West Court, from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. ​E veryone welcome.
