Capacitive sensors

Level measurement of liquids and bulk material is best implemented with capacitive sensors. Production processes are thus controlled in the best way possible. Constant control of consumption and assessment of demand requires ontime signalling of level limits in order to keep production processes running and to enable forward planning. All of this is possible thanks to the unique measuring

principle of our capacitive sensors. They can be mounted on the outside of metal containers without modification, where they capture the filling levels through the container wall. They detect many different substances, not matter if conductive, non-conductive, liquid or solid.

■ Quickly and easily installed ■ No effects on the medium ■ Wear-free

Problematic substances Debris and conductive liquid films on container walls are a special challenge. Conventional sensors quickly reach their limits here. The BCF sensor series from TURCK can deal with it. With the automatic wetting compensation integrated as a standard, they blank out any form of adhesive debris and liquid films on container walls.

Detection of bulk material

Highest flexibility

The BCC sensor series is the optimum choice for detecting the filling levels of bulk solids. They detect powders and granulates through extremely thick walls and are especially protected against static discharge.

The QF5,5 type is extremely small and fits therefore in many places. There are almost infinite mounting options. It can be mounted to risers with cable ties or to other plastic pipes or screwed on nonmetal container walls. The QF5,5 can even detect problematic substances reliably, thanks to its extremely large switching distance. Any application can thus be handled.

■ Perfectly suited for plastic granulates ■ ESD immune ■ Excellent EMC properties

■ Blanks out debris and conductive ■ ■

liquid films Enhanced protection against interferences Increased system availability

■ Extremely small, fits in any place ■ Easily and quickly mounted ■ High sensitivity

Sensors in direct contact with substances Even when it comes to the nitty-gritty, TURCK sensors have "no fears of contact". The S185 sensors can be mounted inside containers or pipes where they come directly into contact with substances. No wall needs to be blanked out. They can fully explore their sensitivity to capture even hardly detectable products. These

sensors are very thermostable, thus perfectly suited for high-temperature applications and are also resistant to chemicals and cleaning agents.

■ Chemical-resistant housings ■ Also available as IP69K rated version ■ Extended temperature range

Sophisticated technology in the smallest space

Excellent EMC properties

Automatic wetting compensation

Extended temperature range

Many different installation and application options are feasible, thanks to high-quality components arranged in a compact and rugged housing.

Special protective measures ensure failsafe operation of the sensors when exposed to high electromagnetic interference.

Wetting and moisture are automatically compensated.

Cooling circuits and industrial washing machines exert mechanical load on the housing and electronics of the sensors. TURCK has developed types that are optimally suited for such applications.
