3 Capacitor Control for Power-factor Regulation (Reactive-power Control)

Current reactive power (VAR) is measured, and capacitors are used to automatically regulate the power-factor to close to 100% (reactive power close to 0) through controlling the on/off operation of capacitor switches in a cyclic manner.

Cutoff signal is output after level-two demand alarm is issued continuously for a set amount of time (priority 1 only). Subsequenrly, cutoff every minute (priority 2 to 16).

Time (in minutes) from start of 30 minute demand monitoring in which demand alarm does not activate can be set. 1had not been turned on, so fires blank even though cutoff signal is output. 1 to 16 indicate facility connection load. Procedures up to output point terminal block exposure are included in installation work covered by Mitsubishi Electric. Installation work performed by the customer includes selection of controller priority and items to be controlled as well as external line cable installation.
