CBR1000RR

The Essential Superbike. The 2012 Honda CBR®1000RR offers a perfectly integrated combination of power, handling, and overall balance for both the street and the track. And this year we’ve given it some serious advancements like new suspension, new bodywork styling, new instrumentation, and new wheels. All that in addition to its famously powerful 999cc liquid-cooled inlinefour-cylinder engine and aluminum twin-spar chassis.

CBR1000RR Specifications

Key Features W ith two sets of injectors per cylinder for both low- and high-rpm performance, the CBR1000RR’s Dual-Stage Fuel Injection gives you instantaneous high-rpm response, along with great low-rpm metering and clean running.

Engine: 999cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder

T he electronically controlled Combined Anti-Lock Braking (C-ABS™) distributes brake force over both wheels, helping to maintain braking confidence in less than ideal conditions.

Rear Brake: Single 220mm disc (Optional C-ABS)

T he CBR1000RR’s new, full-screen LCD instrumentation includes lap timer, trip and fuel-consumption computer, five-level customizable shift indicator, gear-position indicator and peakrpm memory function.

Fuel System: Dual Stage Fuel Injection (DSFI) Transmission: Close-ratio six-speed

Front Brake: Dual radial-mounted four-piston calipers with full floating 320mm discs (Optional C-ABS)

Wheelbase: 55.5 inches Seat Height: 32.3 inches

Special Features * Includes all standard equipment, required fluids and a full tank of fuel. ** Honda’s fuel economy estimates are based on EPA exhaust emission measurement test procedures and are intended for comparison purposes only. Your actual mileage will vary depending on how you ride, how you maintain your vehicle, weather, road conditions, tire pressure, installation of accessories, cargo, rider and passenger weight, and other factors.

Big Piston Fork

The CBR1000RR’s all-new front suspension uses a Big Piston Fork (BPF). The new 43mm Showa fork is smoother and more responsive, and gives you excellent front-end feedback.

Honda Genuine Accessories™ Seat Cowl Custom-shaped seat cowl adds a more aggressive look and increases lockable cargo capacity to four liters.

Unit Pro-Link Rear Suspension

In the back, the CBR1000RR features a Unit Pro-Link® design that uses a new Balance Free Rear shock with a double-tube design for smoother and more accurate response.
