Cerritos College Theatre Department to present Reefer Madness, the musical An outrageous musical comedy adaptation of the classic antimarijuana propaganda film FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 25, 2011 Media Contact: Aya Abelon, Public Affairs; (562) 653-7878 WHAT: The Cerritos College Theatre Department is closing out the 10-11 season with Reefer Madness, the musical. The musical will open Friday, May 6 at 8 p.m. in the Burnight Theatre. Reefer Madness, the musical is based off the 1936 American exploitation movie and pokes a satirical finger at the negative propaganda campaigns that the government instituted against marijuana use and its dangers. This comedy musical includes political and religious satire and outrageous fun. Don't miss out on this over-the-top hilariously funny musical. Tickets are on sale online or in the Theatre Office from 12 – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Caution: This show is not suitable for children under 13 years old.
