Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (Support) provides some of the necessary underpinning skills and knowledge for the new Certificate IV in Information Technology and Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology.
In the networking content there is a focus on the Cisco IT Essentials and Windows Server Fundamentals.
In the programming content there is a focus on an Introduction to programming in C.

This subject involves following processes to create user documentation that is clear to the target audience which is easy to navigate.

This subject measures current resource use and identifying improvements including the reduction of negative environmental impact caused by work practices.

This subject involves participation in workplace Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) consultative processes.
3ITE
This includes the fundamentals of computer technology, networking, and security, and validates the communication skills and professionalism, that is required of all entry level IT professionals.

This course uses the Cisco Networking Academy® IT Essentials curriculum V5 which provides an introduction to the technical skills needed to help meet the growing demand for entry-level ICT professionals. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software as well as advanced concepts such as security, networking, and the responsibilities of an ICT professional. Students will be eligible to receive the CISCO IT Essential certificate. This course helps students prepare for the CompTIA A+ Essentials exam (220-801) and CompTIA A+ Practical Application exam (220-802).

This subject introduces the programming constructs of sequence, selection and iteration, along with an introduction to modularisation, parameter passing, array handling and file processing. Small command-line programs and/or games are developed using the Visual Studio 2010 C#.NET programming language.

This subject covers the usage and integration of HTML5 and CSS 3. Students will create an interactive website from scratch by coding using the technologies mentioned above.

It builds an understanding of Network Infrastructures, Network Hardware, and Protocols and Services. The subject is aligned to the Microsoft MTA 98 – 366 exam.
