Requirements Daily Quiet Times: This is for you and your relationship with God. This is non-negotiable as a Christian. Your lives, mindset, and attitude will reflect on how much time you are spending with God. Dedicate a set time each day to read the bible and pray and talk with God. Be open with Him and share your deepest and most intimate thoughts. He is waiting for you, and knows all for He is omniscient. Still, God wants you to talk to Him and to seek His counsel. Listening to praise songs and singing songs is a good way to worship and be with God, but it is more important to read Gods word. •

All scripture is breathed out by God. 2 Timothy 3:16

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. James 4:8

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:2

TIPS

1. Follow a Bible reading plan. 2. Journal! Journaling provides a record of what God has been saying and also how he has been

3. 4.

answering your prayers. It is a useful tool to later reflect on and review your spiritual journey. Without writing down all your thoughts, you may forget some of the most important blessings and lessons that you could share as encouragement to others. Plan for a practical time. If you don’t plan to do it, then you may forget to do it. Stay practical by choosing a time that will not urge you to push it back until you are tired and no longer alert or when the night is over. Pray before and after each quiet time. God will open your eyes and direct you to the wisdom you need if you ask with a genuine heart.

SOAP Journaling Method S – Scripture: Take time to read and allow God to speak to you. Reference what you read and write a particular verse that spoke to you. O – Observation: What is God saying in the scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and to reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase the scripture in your own words. A – Application: Personalize what you read and ask yourself how it applies to your life right now. Maybe it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or correction for a particular area in your life.

P – Prayer: Speak to Him! This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two-way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say! Now write it out. Live like Christ: As Christians, our goal should be to become more like Christ in all we do. We're all imperfect and have sin, and we'll never be perfect. But, this is not an excuse to settle and be complacent. All will be held accountable to your actions, words, and overall presentation of yourselves everywhere, including social media.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23

Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. - 1 John 2:6

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. - 1 Corinthians 11:1

Respect: Give due respect to the Design Team coordinators as your leaders and authority of Christmas Institute. Trust your leaders and be good followers and disciples. •

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. Hebrews 13:17

Attendance & Participation: To maximize your potential and to build team unity, it is important that everyone be present to all planned trainings and activities, with a willingness to learn and share each other's gifts and knowledge. •

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Complete given assignments: Through the year there will be assignments assigned for everyone to complete. Be committed to completing the assignments and tasks with a joyful heart, and to complete them when they are due. •

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17

TACOS Prayer Model T – Thanksgiving: Praise God and remember all His works. Reflect and meditate on the ways He is moving in your life. A – Adoration: Proclaim who God is and take time to give Him adoration for the attributes of His character.

C – Confession: We cannot be made clean until we come clean. The biggest lie Satan tells us is that we are inadequate, so we hide. But when we confess and repent, God will cleanse you and make you new. O – Others: Take the time to acknowledge some of God’s greatest gifts: the people He places in your life! Where/who would you be without them? Not only so, but pray for even those you don’t know: cry out for the lost and rejoice for the found! S – Supplication: God cares about the desires of your hearts, so ask and petition according to His will.

RRW’s Expression of any thoughts, joys, and concerns is highly encouraged! Without any feedback, it is difficult to find room to grow. RRWs are optional and may be submitted any time via email to [email protected] and [email protected]; preferably within a week from the most recent training session. R - Rejoice: This section involves the things that go right in whatever takes place. What are your victories? What are you thankful for? You also may include personal victories. It is great to hear how you are growing as a man/woman of God or how you are being a light unto the people in your life; also share any joys from the training session. Example: This week has been so stressful, but praise God he got me through it so that I could experience days like today. CST was so uplifting! It’s always great to meet with such an inspiring and edifying group. I learned so much from the devotion and hope to gain the strength to apply it to my daily life. R - Rethink: This section involves the things that didn’t happen, should have happened, or could have happened better. Remember that the idea is to evaluate yourself and others. Also try to come up with a solution to the issue(s) that take place. Example: Problem – CST ran overtime and could have been more efficient. Solution – Emphasize the importance of being on time, starting on time, and being prepare. Have an agenda set with a specific time attached to each activity. W - Wishlist: Include things you want to have or things you want to happen in order to better our ministry. Think outside the box! Example: I need to be more committed and held accountable for my personal struggles and problems. An accountability group or prayer partner would be helpful in my faith.
