It’s hard to believe, that 13 years have come and gone so quickly. When I look back at all of the miles and memories made it seems like yesterday that the PGA sale was just in its infant stages. Fast forward 13 years later and you have the Longest Running Gelbvieh Female Sale in Canada. If there is just one reason to get into the vehicle and come to Moose Jaw it should certainly be just that. Our consignors dig deep every year and offer a chance to buy cattle right off of the top end of their leading operations. We have an excellent offering again this year. There is a tremendous set of bred females, a strong group of heifer calves, a flush lot that will fit into anyone’s herd, a very interesting semen lot, and a couple of choice lots on heifer calves and bull calves. Feel free to contact myself, the consignors or sales staff in regards to the offering and as per usual the famous Alliance hospitality will be provided following the sale, so bring the entire family and enjoy the Spa. Take note that the PGA along with the ManSask Gelbvieh Association will be hosting a Christmas banquet and the ever popular fun auction immediately following the sale. OFFERING 10 STRAWS OF SEMEN What an opportunity! SLC 512T has revolutionized Overby Stock Farm’s operation since his purchase from Severtson Land and Cattle in 2009. His sire SLC Masterplan 134N needs no introduction, one of the most consistent producing bulls in the breed for type and quality. Equally as dominant, 512T’s dam is none other than SLC Black Lass 120H. SLC 120H not only produced 512T but she has produced notables such as SLC Touchdown 82W the $16,000 sire now residing at V & V Farms. Not to be outdone, 512T’s progeny have surpassed all expectations at Overby Stock Farm, most notably OSF Swaggerville 3Y a division winner at Agribition in 2011, highest Weight per Day of Age of all Gelbvieh bull calves shown in Regina that year and is now prowling the pastures at Severtson Land and Cattle. Unfortunately SLC 512T was lost due to injury in early July so the window is closing for purchasing direct genetics from this sire.
