COLLEGE PREP PROGRAMS: For Students and Parents Registration is required for each of these FREE sessions. Register in person at the Information Desk, online at www.fairportlibrary.org or call the library at 223-9091. These programs are made possible by Chariot Learning, College Assistance Plus (CAPlus), and Summit Federal Credit Union.

SAT PRACTICE TEST Saturday, March 1st, 9:30am-2:00pm Open to students in grades 10-12 Registration begins February 1st Free practice test offered by Chariot Learning. Take an officially released, full-length practice exam proctored by a test expert with a roomful of other motivated students under timed conditions. After the test, you will learn how to score the exam and interpret those results. If you do not stay for the scoring and interpretation, you will score the exam on your own with an answer key. Exact ending time will depend on how long the scoring and interpretation portion lasts. Students are encouraged to stay for the scoring. Students and parents are encouraged to register for the Q&A Session scheduled for March 6th in order to receive the graded essay. Students need to bring #2 pencils and a calculator. They can also bring snacks if they desire! Note: A minimum of 10 students are required to hold the exam. If we fall below that requirement, we will need to cancel.

PARENT SAT/ACT Q&A Thursday, March 6th, 6:30pm-7:30pm Open to parents and students Registration begins February 1st We all know how very important the SAT and ACT are, but many parents don't know as much as they need to about this aspect of the college admissions process until it is too late. Wouldn't it be nice to get clear answers to all your questions? Come listen to Chariot Learning test prep experts explain the specific steps you can take to dramatically improve your student's test scores and test-taking experience. Find out what the SAT and ACT are, why they matter, and what you can do to help your student get into the college of his or her dreams!

NAVIGATING THE COLLEGE SELECTION PROCESS Thursday, March 27th, 6:30pm-7:30pm Registration begins February 27th Presented by College Assistance Plus (CAPlus), this session will cover information on reducing college costs, preventing costly mistakes parents make during the college process, the debt issue, academic selectivity, exploring Financial Aid packages, and how to better handle this big financial decision. This session is made possible with the help of Summit Federal Credit Union.
