Composed of four one-day-sections, this course covers all aspects for the configuration, administration and troubleshooting of ® DOC4000 for Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) and ® TotalPlant Solution (TPS) System.

Process Engineers, Instrument Control Engineers, IT, System Administrators, and System Integrators responsible for DOC4000 configuration and administration

Required Skills and/or Experience The Part 1 of this course provides you the understanding of how DOC4000 tracks changes to the control system to leverage the power of having a centralized genome mapping of a plant site’s control systems. You will use DOC4000 to access points, loop diagrams, control and logic maps, object properties, and object relationships in order to increase efficiency and accuracy in dayto-day operations. You will learn how to use DOC4000 view spares, track changes, identify configuration defects, and assist in troubleshooting. The Part 2 presents the various modules and components of DOC4000 so as to diagnose and administer the DOC4000 software. You will learn and understand the import mechanism for configuration files, user administration & security, database administration, back-up and restore, as well as triggered alerting. You will also understand how to generate and review log files to troubleshoot errors and logging issues. The Part 3 will provide you the knowledge to collect configuration data for Experion PKS by using Experion Data Collection Configurator (EPKSDCC tool). This hands-on module will guide you through the process of VBScript creation, using EPKSDCC, data collection, EPKS asset configuration, and import. Part 4, you will learn how to use DOC4000’s Automatic Data Update (ADU) to collect configuration data for TPS. This hands-on module will guide you through the process of ADU configuration, data collection, TPS asset configuration, and import.
