March 9, 2014 The APICS, New Haven Chapter, has scheduled the following classes for the Spring 2014 period. We are also teaching at several private company sponsored courses and would be happy to discuss a private course for your company. CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional (42 Hours) 14 weeks Start Date: Thursday, March 27, 2014 Class Time: 3:00 - 6:00 PM Location: We have some students but we need a host company Cost: o $2350 Member Early Registration (by March 14, 2014) o $2700 Member o $3150 Non-Member This class will utilize the 2014 version of the on-line Learning System, and the schedule will be finished for the July-August test window. With some extra reading and studying this course would help you also pass the single CPIM Re-Certification test being offered this year. CPIM - Strategic Management of Resources (SMR) (27 Hours) 9 weeks Start Date: Tuesday, September 11, 2014 Class Time: 3:00 – 6:00 pm Location: Cooper Surgical, 95 Corporate Drive Trumbull, CT 06611 Cost: o $595 Member (includes Workbook) o $795 Non-Member (includes Workbook) This course, the last of five in the CPIM curriculum, will go nine weeks, and will move your learning to the next level that includes higher-level thinking or strategic planning and implementation of operations. This includes an understanding of how market requirements drive the resources and processes of an organization. Register Now!

The APICS Principles of Operations Management program has five customizable courses that are classroom-based and instructor-led for individuals new to materials and operations management. In addition to the courses, as presented, the sessions in each course can also operate as stand-alone minicourses or can be combined with other Principles course sessions to create a customized learning experience. APICS Principles of Inventory Management will impart an operational knowledge and understanding of inventory management principles and techniques, roles and responsibilities, and the impact that inventory can have on a business. Topics include: inventory management fundamentals ordering techniques replenishment policies purchasing management just-in-time and lean methodologies inventory performance measurement. APICS Principles of Operations Planning course imparts a fundamental knowledge and understanding of the basic inventory planning principles and techniques that are used at each level in the planning process, from strategic to tactical. Topics include: planning foundations business planning basics of forecasting sales and operations planning master scheduling capacity management operations systems

APICS Principles of Manufacturing Management course aims to provide fundamental knowledge and understanding of the core concepts necessary to effectively manage activities related to planning, scheduling, and controlling manufacturing processes. Topics include: manufacturing management fundamentals manufacturing product structures material requirements planning (MRP) capacity planning and management production activity control advanced scheduling lean production management. APICS Principles of Distribution and Logistics program will provide fundamental knowledge of operations management and understanding of the core concepts necessary to effectively manage an organization's supply chain. Topics include: operations management foundations introduction to distribution and logistics distribution channel design inventory management distribution requirements planning (DRP) warehouse management packaging and material handling transportation management transportation operations. APICS Principles of Managing Operations imparts a fundamental knowledge and understanding of processes and operations, the function of project management, product and process design, quality management, process improvement, and organizational management and performance.
