MATERIALS

• Worsted weight yarn: 16 oz Aran, 1½ oz each of 15 scrap colors • Size J/10 crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle GAUGE

With scrap color, 6 sts = 2 inches; 3 rows = 2 inches Check gauge to save time. PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Afghan is crocheted vertically. Strips worked with Aran are not used to measure gauge and should be worked looser than scrap colors. With Aran, cut 6 strands each 8 inches long. Attach 3 groups of 2 strands each, evenly sp on each Aran section of afghan. Fold 2 strands in half, insert hook WS to RS, draw strands through at fold to form a lp on hook, draw cut ends through lp on hook, pull gently to secure. Trim ends evenly.
