Participants were grouped to quartiles of social support levels based on a perceived social support subscale of the Duke Social Support Index (DSSI). Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the relationship between adherence and social support, controlling for demographics, illness burden, cognitive functions, veteran status and treatment site (psychiatry vs. primary care). Results: A total of 462 patients were identified during the study period (77% male, 74% white, mean age 66 years, 55% married/ partnered, 68% veteran status).
