16 Disputed Words Amir Nejat President Bush has been under childish critisiem by some democrats for his state of the Union Message about 16 words realtive to Saddam Hussin's attemps to buy uranium fromAfrica. Actaully, almost no attention has been paid to the rest f the story of his speech; following about 20 words the President mentioned in his address. President Bush said the following: "The British government (British Intelligance Service) has learned that Saddam Hussain sought significantquantities of uranuim fromAfrica. Our intelligance (Central Intelligance Agancy) sources tell us that he has attempted to purchase high-strenght aluminum tubes suitble for nuclear weapons production."The president never said that Saddam is actually in possession of uranium. Also, Secretary of States Colin Powel showed photos during this Februaty 5th presentation to the United Nations regarding "aluminum tubes" intercepted by Israel.

Before the fall of Iraq's criminal regim, aluminum tubes and chemical and biological weapons suddnely disapeared. There is no doubt that Saddam was targeting for atomic capability. Perhaps, occupation of Iraq, by all means was logical and necessary. Iraq was on the verge of acquiring tubes for reconstituting nuclear weapons. Prolonged debate within the CIA intelligance communities about Saddam's atomic activity, would give more time to Iraq for further progress in this field. The tubes in question were intercepted in Jordan in 2001, the destination was Baghdad. The shipment which originated in China contained 60'000 tubes. In 2002, another shipment was blocked by intelligence agents. The tubes were destined to be used for providing high-graded enriched uranium for nuclear bombs. The tubes in

question, according to my research were the right size and shape for conventional war rockets. Islamic Republic of Iranian Mullas’s already in possession of such tubes (hidden in Adrian, Iran). My sources backed by intelligence circle inform me that a shipment of tubes arrived in Iran via Pakistan (manufactured in North Korea) to be used for uranium enrichment. Enrichment is a large scale process involving the introduction of gaseous form of uranium in to fast -spinning metal drum, which separated bomb-grade uranium, known as U-235. I do know that Iraq’s scientist were using this system to enrich uranium to build a nuclear bomb. Saddam paid cash to import the tubes in question.African uranium was for this purpose. The President’s 16-words during his speech at the joint session of congress are correct and true. The President’s information was based on intelligence provided by Tony Blair, British Prime minister. Finally, we did not accept Iraq, because Saddam was close to building dirty bombs. So, why spin about 16 words the President said in his address.America went to war because Saddam violated United Nations resolution, we went to war because of atrocities that Saddam committed against the Iraqi people, we went to war because Saddam harboured terrorists, and used chemical weapons to murder innocent people.

This stir about 16 proper words is a cheap attempt to gain political momentum by the President’s opponents. Now that we are in Iraq, let us support our president and our military.
