Recently in the City ,Wonder of Words "WOW" The Literary Extravaganza was organized at JECRC University under the Auspicious of Centre For Arts and Ideas from 23rd Jan 2013 to 28th Jan 2013 . Wonder of Words "WOW" The Literary Extravaganza was organized at JECRC University under the Auspicious of Centre For Arts and Ideas from 23rd Jan 2013 to 28th Jan 2013 .JECRC had Luminaries from the Field of Literature, Music, Journalism and Photography visited and interacted with students. Jaipur, Rajasthan, February 1, 2013 /India PRwire/ -- First day present at the JECRC University was Sheniz Janmohamed ,the young author and exponent of writing technique " Spoken Words" which is a form of rhyming and delivering spoke about her passion of writing and her early childhood life. She said " What she feels she writes " and observes that if the social network sites were not available we would not have been able to know the talent is available in the world. Second day witnessed the presence of Bhavya Kaushik a student of JECRC UDML and presently pursuing M.Tech , spoke about the life of people after the tragic Bomb Blast in Jaipur in his book " The other side of the bed ". He said that we forget to tell our near and dear ones that how much do we love them and when we tell them it is too late , therefore keep telling them again and again before it is too late. Third day present at the event was Andrew Lycett the Biographer of Ian Fleming, Sir Arther Conan Doyle ,Rudyard Kipling and a Journalist spoke about his early experiences in Libya . Fourth day two distinguished personalities ,one being Mary Harper and the other Imogen Edwards jones visitied the University. Mary Harper the BBC Correspondent on Somalia and Africa spoke about the wrong view of Somalia in her book " Getting Somalia Wrong". She observed that inspite of bad political handling , Somalia is still progressing and the youth is looking towards new world with connectivity of all the social network sites. Imogen Edward jones the Babylon Series exponent spoke about her writings and exposing the industries like Fashion, Hospital, Hotel ,Air and Wedding . She also stressed on the discipline part which she follows rigorously and asked the students to inculcate the same in their life also. Fifth and final day had two distinguished guests Andrea di Robilant the extraordinary and courageous man from Italy who ventured out at the age of 18 on Hippy Trail in Middle East ,Asia and Afghanistan and Vikram Sampath the Engineer , Management Graduate and the Founder of Bangalore Literature Festival. Andrea told the students that all the cultures in the world have different tastes of good and bad . India is a growing and strong Economy and Italy needs to catch up with her and learn from her. This is his second visit to India and things have changed a lot from those days. Andrea is a Writer , Journalist and a Traveller and has a lot of good and bad experiences which he shared with the students. Andrea wants to settle down in India and wants to try and understand its culture from close quarters. Vikram explained to the students the importance of Science and Arts and related as to how the inventions took place due to science which is now helping him in Arts.He said it is very difficult for our generation to understand how the instruments of today were made for easy access of Music .He said that in his book " My name is Gauhar Jaan" he tried to understand the culture of India from very close quarter . He has created a national Archive for Classical Music where he has digitalized more than than twelve thousand Gramophone plates. In the end advised the students to lead a happy life and learn some Music which will help them in life. All In all it was an enriching experience for everyone present at the event as it witnessed the presence of eminent individuals from the Field of Literature, Music, Journalism and Photography who visited, shared valuable information and interacted with students at JECRC.
