By: Patrick Bucksot

I sincerely pray that each of you have been blessed by this series, but I must say that each month seems to be getting tougher to write. Each weapon seems as if it is harder to live through. I am beginning to realize that most, if not all writers for God can’t possibly have it all together. I have been writing about having victory in our lives by utilizing the weapons that God designed for us to overcome the enemy, however, I am finding them difficult to use most of the time. Yes, this is a bit of a confession, but also a profession. I/we will overcome the enemy because the victory has been won. I believe the reason for my own testing has been to help me write about the weapons of warfare. This month is no exception. I have had some serious questions for God about a few particular things and the waiting has been very difficult. When the Word says that Longsuffering is a Fruit of the Spirit, I don’t believe that we can fully comprehend its meaning without some longsuffering. This is not an easy journey. I looked on the internet about longsuffering and found that a lot of people relate it to patience. While I won’t disagree with them, I wanted to share with you one thought that really struck a chord with me. Please read the next statement very carefully – Longsuffering can also be referred to as patience. Patience is being mild, gentle, and constant in all circumstances. The real test of patience is not in waiting, but in how one acts while he or she is waiting. (from - www.christcenteredmall.com) Did you catch that? It said the real

test of patience is not in waiting, but in how we act while we are waiting. WOW! That really says a lot. After reading this statement I realized that I was a long way from reflecting Christ with my waiting. I don’t say that to heave condemnation onto me or anyone else, however, I want reveal God’s Word about longsuffering to build us up in Christ. Longsuffering is not an impossible task. If it were, God would show Himself to be unmerciful. Let’s take a look at a few scriptures concerning the Longsuffering of God. Ex. 34:6 - And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,… Num 14:18 'The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth [generation].' Psa 86-15 - But You, O Lord, [are] a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. 2 Pet 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:15 - and consider [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation— It is by God’s Longsuffering that we can be saved from a punishment that we truly deserve. Pastors Corner- A word from Pastor Ron – “Launch Into 2010” “11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 20:11-12 Wow it is hard to believe that 2009 has passed by and now we are launching into 2010. I have been looking back at all the New Year’s Resolutions I had made in my lifetime and how many I kept throughout the years. Every one of us has made promises to ourselves and to others on a New Years Eve with all the intentions to succeed. And we start the New Year with excitement and enthusiasm and in most cases before January has passed our resolutions for that year have been buried and forgotten until December when we are trying to make new ones that in reality are the same ones we had made in years past. Until we get to a place in our lives we say, “What is the sense to make promises we know we can’t keep.” We have allowed our “ANT’s” (Automatic Negative Thoughts) to dictate to us failure when the Lord desires for us to succeed. We cannot carry that type of attitude into this coming year 2010. BOGIO has been in a time of transition we have seen some really wonderful times and some really hard times but we have pressed in and stood strong and built endurance for what the Lord is preparing to pour out. The year 2010 is going to be a year the Lord is going to open up the floodgates of heaven and pour out His awesome Presence. I continue hearing the Lord that He is preparing the outpouring for this region and it will flow like a flashflood across the globe. Like shockwaves in a pond when the rock is thrown into the pond. Throughout History we have seen many outpourings into great men and women of God. The Lord has used people like Ruth Heflin, Oral Roberts, John G. Lake, and Smith Wigglesworth, who carried the awesome Anointing so strong that shadows healed. They carried the honor, integrity, and Roar of the Lion of Judea that shook the very ground they

stood on. They carried the presence of God so much that it exploded where ever they stood and in that explosion there were healings and wholeness. This is only a small taste of what the Lord desires to pour out on a body of Christ hungry for Him and His agenda! As we walk into a new place within the Breath of God International Outreach Church and start advancing the Kingdom of God in a powerful way it is not time to sit on the sidelines and cheerlead. It is a time to get plugged into your calling and release the anointing the Lord has placed inside of you. Getting involved and expecting God to move in such a powerful way that the excitement increases not decreases. How can I get involved? How do I advance the Kingdom of God? These are two common questions I am asked many times. The first thing is to go to the source of the One that knows your destiny. Prayer, fasting, seeking, listening and reacting are the keys that will open those answers and leads to stepping into your destiny. One great way for that is the Wednesday Fast food days and the Daniel Fast we are about to start January 24th. I have learned that the way I seek (hungry heart) is the way to results. If I am not really serious and not willing to do what it takes the results are harder to get and not as clear. When I seek with a hungry passionate heart desperate to hear the Lord, the results and answers are quicker and clearer. I am hearing the Lord very clearly say that 2010 is the time for the church launch its ministries that will impact the region and advance the Kingdom of God. We are excited about the upcoming Church Ministries like the Worship Training Classes, BOGIO Youth Group for 6th thru 8th grade levels, Women’s Ministries, Men’s Ministries, Nursery Ministries, Food and Materials Distribution Ministries, Outreach Ministries. And the retreats and Conferences like the Women Retreat, Men’s & Fathers Conference, Light vs. Dark Youth Conference, Prayer Conference and the Worship Conference. These are just a few of the ministries that we are seeking the Lord for guidance. Continued on next page

Everyone has a calling within them, we just need to open heaven seek it out and step into it with excitement and expectations. Brenda and I would love to sit with you and talk about possibilities of where you can be involved in the church or ministries in 2010. I can hear the rumble of the Lord and the Roar of the Lion of Judea getting the area ready for one of the greatest outpouring of His glory ever experienced in this region! Let’s get hungry for the Lord to use us to pour His double portion of anointing not just on a person but on the corporate body! Let’s activate the apostolic faith and see the explosion of the Glory of God fall on this region and make a ripple effect that covers the globe. Will you Roar the Roar of the Lion of Judea RoooooooooaaaaaaaRRRRRRRR! Only Believe Pastor Ron Estes

_________________________________________________________ Don’t look into the new year expecting to relive any failures that you may had had. 2009 is over and behind us. Let’s dive into 2010 with all of the expectation that God is BIGGER than any of our 2009 problems and still has a desire to pour though us. Let’s take this time to REJOICE for new opportunities to serve the Lord. Let’s take this time PRAISE Him for He is WORTHY to be PRAISED. It is in him that we LIVE and MOVE and HAVE our being. – Acts 17:28. Be encouraged to move forward into 2010. God is an AWESOME God and His greatest desire is for you and I to look and act like Him.

________________________________________________________ A Word from the Lord – Beth Bucksot My people say that I am holy. My people sing holy, holy, holy is the Lord. But where is their belief that I am holy. Their actions do not say that I am holy. Their reactions do not sing of My holiness. There is no fear of my holiness among the people. If I am holy, where is My reverence? If I am holy, where is my sacrifice? Where is My sacrifice of broken and contrite hearts: Hearts broken and contrite about sin Hearts that do not justify sin but flee from it. My people flatter me with their lips in saying holy, holy is the Lord. But where is my holiness in their hearts? Where is my holiness in their minds; My holiness in their souls; my holiness in what they do with their bodies? (This is the prayer that the Lord led me to pray)

O’ Lord God, forgive us your people. Not because of anything in us, but because of your holiness, because of faithfulness; because of

your mercy; because of your grace and because of the blood of your son. Renew in us, O’ God, a right spirit. Bring us to repentance. Deliver us from the falsehood of flattering lips and heal our souls O’ Lord. Bring us back to the understanding and belief in your holiness. Bring us back to the place of reverence for you and your ways. Make us holiness unto the Lord. Be glorified and magnified most Holy God.

THE FUNNY SIDE OF LIFE - Everybody Knows Bubba Bubba was bragging to his boss one day. "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them." Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff. "Ok, Bubba, how about Tom Cruise?" "Sure, yes, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it." So Bubba and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door. Sure enough, Tom Cruise shouts, "Bubba! Great to see you! You and your friend come right in and join me for lunch!" Although impressed, Bubba's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Bubba that he thinks Bubba's knowing Cruise was just lucky. "No, no, just name anyone else," Bubba says. "President Bush," his boss quickly retorts. "Yes," Bubba says. "I know him. Let's fly out to Washington." And off they go. At the White House, Bush spots Bubba on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Bubba, what a surprise. I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and share a cup of coffee first and catch up."

You are WORTHY of Salvation!!!

Well, the boss is very shaken by now, but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds, he expresses his doubts to Bubba, who again implores him to name anyone else. "The Pope," his boss replies. "Sure!" says Bubba. "I've known the Pope a long time." So off they fly to Rome. Bubba and his boss are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when Bubba says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what. I know all the guards, so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope." Bubba disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican. Sure enough, half an hour later, Bubba emerges with the Pope on the balcony. By the time Bubba returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics. Working his way to his boss' side, Bubba asks him, "What happened?" His boss looks up and says, "I was doing fine until you and the Pope came out on the balcony and the man next to me said, "Who's that on the balcony with Bubba?" - Author Unknown -

"For God so loved the World that He Gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." "John 3:16-17"

YOU ARE WORTHY of salvation because Jesus already paid the price for your sins. You can’t do anything more or less to make God love you any more than he already does. He desires to have an intimate relationship with you because YOU MATTER TO HIM!

Since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden we have been in a displaced relationship with God. We were created to dwell in fellowship with Him, but our sins placed a barrier between us and God. Man has attempted to bridge that gap through many forms of religion and good works, but the fact remains that we cannot build a bridge over this gulf created by Adam and Eve. In God’s infinite love and mercy, He sent His only son Jesus to pay the penalty of sin and forever bridge this gap. It is through His love that sin is forgiven. The only thing that we can do is repent of our sins and ask God to forgive us through the sacrifice of Jesus. Romans 10:9&10 says that if we confess with our mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. For with the heart, man believes, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. You may be thinking that you have done too much wrong to be worthy of God’s grace. The point is - GOD LOVES YOU!!!

Jesus I love you and I know I am a sinner. I have sinned against you and I am sorry. I believe in you and want you in my life right now. Change my life and take away anything unholy. Help me through each day and to seek you in everything. Teach me to pray, give me desire to read the Bible and place me into a church. I can't do it myself; only with you can I make it. Help me Jesus. I praise your name. Put Joy in my heart and mouth. Thank you Jesus, I love you. AMEN.

Please Pray This Prayer with Me

If you have given your life to Christ please send me an email at [email protected] I would love to read your testimony!

The Weapons of Our Warfare - A series on our spiritual weapons - Longsuffering By: Patrick Bucksot

Continued from page ONE

We know that the grace we received from God means unmerited favor. Throughout the scriptures it says that God is slow to anger and full of compassion. God is not willing for anyone to perish but live with Him throughout eternity. This can only happen if we have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. As much as I would like to, I cannot say that I am slow to anger, merciful, full of compassion, ready to pardon and abundant in kindness. Most people that know me have seen me show a less than Christ like attitude on occasion. I am quite certain that we have all wanted people to forget those moments of rage that we display. We get hot headed and selfish at times, and we do not walk out our faith. We do not display much longsuffering. I won’t say that it’s okay to act this way, but we don’t need to make ourselves suffer from acts of stupidity. God desires for us to repent and get over it as quickly as possible. Learn from it and move on. In today’s society it is very difficult to wait for anything. We have a generation that always wants the newest thing even if the last newest thing was just released a month ago. We are becoming an indebted society because we just can’t wait for anything. Let’s take a look in Genesis to learn a little about waiting and what happened when man got in the way. In Genesis 12, we see that Abram (Abraham) was found to be pleasing in the sight of God. God told him that He would make Abram a great nation. This was God’s first promise of children for Abram. God said that He would bless Abram and that Abram would be a blessing. God also told Abram that all families would be blessed because of him. This is yet another promise of children for Abram and his wife. In Genesis 15:5, God showed Abram that his seed would be numbered as the stars of heaven and Abraham believed Him. This is very important for us to understand, when God makes a promise, he means it. In chapter 16, Abram really misses the boat. He let Sarai talk him into something other than God’s promise. They tried to make the promise of God happen through the back door. They could not wait for God to fulfill His promise on His terms. Abram had made Hagar pregnant which was 180° away from where God wanted Abram and Sarai to be. In Chapter 17, God once again told Abraham that he would be a father of many nations. (vs. 4 &5). God has made a great display of His longsuffering with Abram (Abraham). Abraham was told several

times by God that he would have children yet had to intervene in the promise that was made. You would think that God would have given up on Abraham and choose to use someone else to fulfill the promise of God. That is not how God works. It is God’s greatest desire to fulfill His promises in us. Even when we mess things up due to our lack of patience/longsuffering, God still wants to bring good to us. God has a purpose for each one of us and He is not slack in his promises for us. Our problem is that we are a lot like Abraham. We do our best to circumvent the timing of God’s promises because we think it is taking too long for them to be fulfilled. This is by no means a condemnation. It is a wakeup call for us all. I have heard many times that God will use someone else if an individual messes up and forsakes the promise or prophecy. With what is written about Abraham, I am beginning to see that God will fulfill His promises over all that had God pour over them. I remember about 15 years ago that someone spoke a particular thing over me (which I won’t get into the minute details) and I thought she was absolutely off her rocker. She said it this way; “I see you as a _______.” I responded in this manner. Well I don’t see it. At that point it didn’t matter if I could see it or not, God was showing her something. My walk with God during those 15 years was like a rollercoaster. There were times when I felt really close to the Lord, and then times where I walked like I never got saved. Again, it did not matter if I could see how God saw me in the future. All that mattered was God’s promise over me. His greatest desire for me is to fulfill my purpose in Him and He has always been in a position to out wait me. With regard to that vision over me, I still feel like I am a long way from seeing it come to pass, but I can at least begin to see that it could come to pass. This is not something that I desire as a personal goal, but I do desire to please God. Let’s get back to Abraham. Isaac was not born until chapter 21. Ishmael had already been born long before; and Abraham had already made several blundering mistakes. With all of Abraham’s problems, God fulfill His promises to him. How much easier would it have been for Abraham if he had just waited on the Lord? There are many of us that have lives’ that mirror Abrahams in a lot of ways. Will we continue our faith journey anyway and place ourselves in a position to have god fulfill his purpose for our lives? CONTINUED ON PAGE 7

The Weapons of Our Warfare- A series on our spiritual weapons - Longsuffering By: Patrick Bucksot

Continued from page FIVE

When Abraham was going through his difficult times, he still found God to be his foundation. He always went back to the source of the covenant. With all that Abraham did to mess things up, God still counted him as a man of faith. That is incredible. God never once gave up on Abraham. God continued to tell him that He had a promise to fulfill in him. The same can be said for you and me. No matter where we are right not, God had commanded His love toward us to complete the good work that He had already begun. I know that waiting is not always the most joyful thing for us to do, but we must. Remember, when we wait on the Lord, it’s not THAT we are waiting on Him, but HOW we are waiting. While we are waiting on the Lord, it has to be with graciousness, humility, mercy, and tenderness. I will close with this statement. God is not toying with us like we would tangle a carrot in front of a horse; He is working on us to make us look more like Himself.

Fear Not By: Beth Bucksot II Tim 1:7 – For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I have noticed that the enemy of our soul has been vamping up his assault of fear. Now why would he do that? He does that because if he can get us to give in to the effects of fear we will be powerless and unstable. If we give in, we will struggle to hear the voice of God and follow Him. If we can’t follow God then we and others around us are easier to separate from Him and the body of Christ and division ensues. Fear can cause us to lack power, lack love (in action), and lack a sound mind. It will actually steal these things from us. I wonder how often I and others do things when we are afraid for those we love that are actually contrary to what we really want to accomplish. Fear often causes us to manipulate, cajole, argue, become violently angry and to say ungodly things. We react to the fear instead of the truth of the grace and the mercy and the love of God. That actually drives people away from us and sometimes away from God. When we react in that spirit of fear it actually helps the enemy to accomplish his goals. In essence, we become tools of the enemy. Fear affects our power. By not reacting with eyes, ears and mouth of the spirit, no true intercession is happening – we actually hamper the spirit and become less powerful or even helpless.

Fear affects our love. Our love does not seem real because our reactions make our saying that we are doing out of love void. If I say, “I love you and I am just trying to help you!”, but I am hurling a vicious verbal onslaught at you, it is very difficult to believe love behind it all. Fear affects a sound mind. How many of us, when provoked by fear, have literally lost our minds. We get into crazy rages; we manipulate people, things or situations and end up creating chaos. This plays right into the enemy’s hand. Fear comes in many forms: Lack of love, lack of provision, lack of companionship, lack of fairness, lack of being understood, fear of failure, embarrassment, jealousy, feeling threatened by someone’s anointing, fear that what you have will be taken again, lack of ability and fear of pain – both physical and emotional. This list varies for each one of us and may change according to circumstances. God has not given us fear. Here is what II Tim 1:7 says God gave to us: God gave us power, love and a sound mind. We need to walk in the God given things and not the enemy’s fear (false evidence appearing real). Do not look at the appearance of situations and react in fear. Instead, call those things that are not as though they were. Ask God to cover the people and situations in His way and will. Ask Him to wash them in the redemptive blood of Christ. Do this in the spirit of intercession by the power, love and sound mind that the Lord God has given to you. Watch and see what He will do! God bless you all.

The Daniel Fast God bless you,

First, we're thrilled that you've decided to join with our church body to fast during these 21 days. We will have two classes on the Daniel Fast 6:00-7:00 PM Sunday January 3rd and 10th at the BOGIO Church. You can come and be a part of the classes even if you are unable to do the Daniel Fast. The Daniel Fast is starting on Sunday January 24th at church and will end on February 14th at the Worship Service. Second, the list of foods we've provided is merely a first step to get you thinking about making better food choices. Remember, this fast is about growing your relationship with God. And He's not as concerned about what is in your stomach as He is about what is in your heart. Daniel's decision not to eat the king's food was an outward symbol of an inward commitment he had made to God. Let your choices over the three weeks (January 24 – February 14) reflect the hunger your have for God's presence in your life. Since there is no definitive list of foods for the Daniel Diet, it is truly the spirit of Daniel's decision that we are imitating over the next 21 days. If there is something that is not specifically listed that you think still qualifies as a 'food of the king,' then ask God to reveal to you whether it should be part of your diet over the few weeks of the fast. The details of the fast are between you and God — use this time to focus on Him. God is certain to bless your life in new and exciting ways during the fast. We encourage you to write down your prayers and the many ways God reveals Himself to you. We can't wait to see what God is going to do in your life and in the life of our church. FOCUS The fast is a spiritual discipline designed to better connect us with God. As a church, we are fasting in order to deepen our relationship with God and to walk in step with His plan and purpose. The best way to do this is to redirect our food source. This is accomplished through substituting our regular food intake with Bible reading, praying and journaling. The overall goal is to experience a genuine hunger for spending time with God. MENU The Daniel Fast is a partial fast, which means that we will eliminate some common things from our daily diet, but will have generous options available. We will focus on eating fruits and vegetables that are pure and simple. In the classes we will include a list of foods to eat and foods to avoid. If you have any condition which would prohibit you from being a part of the Daniel Fast, there are other options. Choose something from your daily routine (i.e. specific foods or beverages, etc.) and fast in that manner for the next 21 days. Remember, the details are not as important as the spirit in which you participate. Ask Brenda or Ron and we will help you walk with any questions you may have. Keep Making Jesus Famous!
