48-year-old male patient presents with an acute eruption of well-defined, tender, erythematous and edematous papules and plaques on the upper extremities, chest, and back. Fever, arthralgia, and general malaise accompany the eruption. Laboratory findings include peripheral neutrophilic leukocytosis and an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
