FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KEEVICAN WEISS BAUERLE & HIRSCH ADD TWO ATTORNEYS PITTSBURGH – November 6, 2013 – James W. France and Jeffrey P. Brown have joined Pittsburgh-based law firm, Keevican Weiss Bauerle & Hirsch LLC, effective immediately. Mr. France is a Member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. Mr. Brown is an Associate of the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group.

Mr. France has over 18 years’ experience practicing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate banking, private equity, finance, commercial and corporate law and general corporate transactions. He has represented financial institutions and borrowers in single-bank and multibank lending transactions, on a secured and unsecured basis, in connection with debt financings for working capital needs, acquisition financings, leveraged buy-out financings, asset based financings and restructurings. Additionally, he has represented clients in legal entity formation, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, capital-raising activities, lending transactions, commercial arrangements and general and complex contract drafting, negotiation and review. Mr. France received his B.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, he received his M.B.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business with Highest Honors and his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Magna Cum Laude. While in law school Mr. France was elected to membership in the Order of the Coif and served as a Member of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review.

Mr. Brown concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate, banking, real estate, and securities law. He has represented and counseled clients in a wide array of matters, including merger, acquisition, divestiture, and consolidation transactions; business entity formation; loan closings; credit, pledge, and security agreements among individuals, banks, and brokerage firms; confidentiality agreements; mortgage foreclosure disputes; initial public offerings of securities; and state sales and use tax issues. Mr. Brown graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009 with an A.B. in History, magna cum laude, and from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2013, magna cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Brown was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship, and he also served as a Member of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review.
