PowerGlide Range Select & Kickdown Shaft

The Powerglide transmission uses several different range (gear) select shafts. Most are specific to the application and because the levers are usually welded onto the shaft, not easily changed. We have now replicated the 68 and up shaft design, including the kickdown shaft which is unique among aftermarket suppliers.

1968-1969 FIREBIRD & GTO 3-Speed Installations

T he 1968-69 Firebird Powerglide (2-speed) shifter can be used with the TH350 or TH400 (3-speed) transmission without modification. The only difference in the factory shifter detent is an additional hard stop for 2nd gear, not present with the 2-speed detent. This stop is unnecessary.

The Kugel Komponents Kit connects the column or floor shifter to most GM transmissions. It also allows for gear pointer alignment. A splined adapter button allows the arm to be positioned at any angle. A slot positions to pivot joint for longer or shorter sweep and pointer alignment. This new SHIFTWORKS® conversion kit will allow anyone with the standard Chevelle or Nova in-dash gauges to convert to the Super Sport style gauge package. #S505

Use the voltmeter with one-wire alternators and non-GM wiring.
