UAG (a.k.a. CONNECT.JACOBS.COM) Do I need a separate UAG account or ID to log in remotely? No, you can log in to the UAG portals with your current AD account. All the portals are set up to use Active Directory for authentication. So as long as you have a JEG, JEGINTL or JADE account, you can log in. Do I need to install or register anything to use UAG? No, and Yes. To use the basic portal, Connect (connect.jacobs.com), you do not need to install anything on your PC. If you need to use an Advanced portal for Citrix or Microsoft Outlook Corporate, then yes, you will need to install the UAG Client Agent. This agent is automatically installed the first time you browse to a portal that requires the client. Is there only one Connect? NO, there are in fact 3 different Connect portals located around the world. There is one in Pasadena California, one in Oak Ridge Tennessee, and one in Winnersh in the UK. Depending on where you are geographically, you can use any one of them to connect to Jacobs’s network. What are the different portals? Here are the 3 different Connect portals for clientless access: ConnectCA.jacobs.com – Pasadena, CA (Also known as Connect.jacobs.com) ConnectTN.jacobs.com – Oak Ridge, TN ConnectUK.jacobs.com – Winnersh, UK Other portals for access to applications that require the UAG client, i.e. Citrix, Outlook Corp Mode Jegwhlca.jacobs.com - Pasadena, CA Jegwhltn.jacobs.com– Oak Ridge, TN Jegwhluk.jacobs.com– Winnersh, UK Can I fill my Timesheet using Connect? Yes, the Employee Timesheet System (ETS) is available on all 3 of the Connect portals. Also available on selfservice.jacobs.com Can I approve my employees Timesheets using Connect? YES, approving an employee’s timesheet can be done using the Timesheet Approval (Self Service) option in the ETS system, selfservice.jacobs.com What other applications are available from within the UAG portals? There are over 125 different applications available via the UAG portal including, ETS, JEMS, Value+, Prolog, Outlook Web Access, JNOC, JCATS, JPCS, JPOD and WebCER. Can I have an application added to the UAG portal? YES, You can fill out a helpdesk ticket using the UAG form located under the IT to IT request section. Can I use the UAG system from the office? Can everyone use the UAG portals for access to Jacobs applications and tools? No, only employees & clients who are not able to use VPN or install anything on their PC’s should be using these portals.
