Reader’s general comments and overview, to be given to student This is an excellent dissertation that shows that the student has grasped well the issues addressed. It is well conceived, well researched, well designed and well presented and argued. It has a lot of originality and innovative thinking. It can be improved by a deeper discussion of the theoretical arguments, e.g. a better development of the expansion of the Trauma Grid to address workers’ vicarious reactions.

The student has tackled an increasingly relevant topic in refugee care. The student’s own experience of working with refugees combined with an excellent grasp of literature surrounding the debates on vicarious reactions no doubt contributed to the production of an excellent piece of research.
