Members may borrow two CDs or sets for up to a fortnight at a time as often as they like free of charge. Membership of this facility costs £3 per year or £10 for life for members of TCMS. Application forms are available at the Library Issue Desk. Unless otherwise stated, tickets are only available on the door. Details are correct at the time of going to print. Saturday 1 May, 8pm – Sacred Choral Music Queen Mary’s Consort returns under the direction of Michael Waldron with an eclectic mix of seasonal sacred music surrounding Ascension and Pentecost, including Gowers Viri Galilaei Walton The Twelve, Grier Three Devotions and a new work by Oliver Rudland.

After the spectacular performance of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio towards the end of last Michaelmas term, Alex Shannon returns to conduct the ever-popular oratorio Elijah by Mendelssohn. With choral scholars from Cambridge Colleges, and an orchestra of the finest players in the University, it promises to be a highlight of the term.

The highlight of the TCMS concert calendar provides a perfect end to the academic year. As always, an operetta written and produced by Trinitarians will be performed, along with Mendelssohn’s inspiring Violin Concerto in E minor with Kenyi Wang as soloist, and Debussy’s Nocturnes. Christopher Stark will conduct.

Monday 17 May, 8pm – Bach Magnificat Anthony Woodman conducts a choir of choral scholars in an exciting programme of Bach, which includes his ‘Jubilate’ Cantata BWV 103, and the much-loved Magnificat in D Major.

The Cambridge Symphonic Players perform Brahms Symphony No. 3, and offer the exciting opportunity to hear Schumann Konzertstück for Four Horns and Orchestra Op. 68 with the Cambridge University Horn Quartet.

Saturday 29 May, 8pm – The Beethoven Ensemble Dan Hill returns with his ensemble for a second concert this term, the last in their Cambridge series, celebrating folk song, dance and merriment. The concert features Ligeti Romanian Concerto, Beethoven Violin Concerto with soloist Arisa Fujita, and Sibelius Symphony No. 3.

Trinity College Chapel The vibrant and exciting London/Cambridge-based Beethoven Ensemble returns under the direction of Dan Hill, performing an exciting and diverse programme of Sibelius The Swan of Tuonela, Poulenc Concerto for two Pianos and Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 5.
