The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is internationally, the most recognised project management certification. Hundreds of thousands of project managers around the world presently hold this sought-after certification. Many large international organisations require the PMP in their project manager’s career path. Recruitment adverts often require applicants to hold the PMP credential before they can be considered. PMP is a recognised credential for project management professionals in most countries around the world including USA, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, China, South Africa, etc. The requirements to sit for the exam are 7 500 hours of project experience, or a college /university /equiv. 4-year degree plus 4 500 hours of project experience. In addition 35 contact hours of project management education is required for the PMP, which this eLearning course provides.
