Missed Final Exams Only extraordinary circumstances warrant a student being allowed to make up a missed final examination. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the faculty member before the scheduled exam to request permission to take a makeup exam. In the process of determining whether a makeup exam should be allowed, the burden of proof is on the student. The faculty member has the right to request verification of any excuse offered by the student.
