Three ways to take LFC fitness classes: 1. Register/Pay for the class—Pick a class and register for that specific class. This option reserves you a spot in the class for the session. Some classes fill. 2. Purchase a punch card—this option allows you flexibility. The card has 12 visits on it and is good for 6 months. This option does not reserve the participants a spot in the class. $24 for members, $60 for non-members. Specialty classes have special fees. 3. Drop-in—Allows you to pay as you go or try out a new class. This option does not reserve the participant a spot in the class. Pay $2.50 mem. rate or $6 non-mem. rate at the front desk and get a drop-in card. Take card to instructor. Group Fitness Class Descriptions Aqua Fit: Low to moderate intensity water class that is heavy on the cardio, yet light on the joints. Muscle toning included. (All levels) Chisel: More than just a sculpting class! Chisel incorporates strength, core and stability training as well as balance. Use of dumbbells, bands, stability balls, and mat exercises for excellent cross training. (all levels) Pilates : Lengthen and tone muscles in this unique mind-body class. Great for core strength and ab work. Pure pilates is a mat exercise class with only pilates movements. Plus class combines pilates with various core training techniques and other strength training. Friday class also incorporates kickboxing. (all levels) Dom Cha: Add some spice to your cardio workout w/ Dominic! With a little latin movement (Cha cha cha) and music for inspiration this is more a party than a class, and it’s a great workout! Move over Zumba, it’s time for Dom Cha! Movers & Shakers: Class specifically designed for those 50 and older. Fitness class incorporates cardiovascular movement to fun music. Work your heart and lungs with some fun people! (all levels) Active Adult Strength & Balance: Active older adult class uses dumbbells, bands, and balls to increase mobility, strength, and balance. Keep doing your favorite activities! 8:15am class more advanced. 10:30am class is a lighter workout; good for beginners. Fitness Combo: Get a complete workout in one class! Class combines low-impact cardio exercise, strength training using all the fun equipment, and flexibility/balance. FitBall Workout: A mix of everything, and you get to use the FitBall for balance, core training, and strength training! Great for all ages at intermediate fitness level. Zumba/Masala Bhangra: This class combines Zumba fitness, and Masala Bhangra. This is an exciting cardio fitness dance class. A little salsa, hip-hop, mixed w/ Bollywoodstyle dance moves and music as well. Come try it out and get moving! TRX Resolution Circuit Workout: These new express classes incorporate nontraditional exercises utilizing the latest functional training equipment, including the TRX. High energy, high intensity, but work at your own pace! Class is good for all ability levels. And the guys will love it, too! Classes are offered Tu/Th 6am and 5:45pm, and Sat. 7:45am (Specialty Class—register/pay by the session only. Additional fees) Ballroom Dance Classes: Specialty classes offered by the session on Sundays. Past classes have included the Cha-Cha, Waltz, and Swing. See flyer for details. FIT Lounge: Use the new flat screen TV to workout w/ “FitTV” shows or pop a DVD in w/ your favorite workout in the aerobics room. All the equipment you need is there. Check out The FiT Zone!
