There could be no better place on earth for Imperial Gardens than Mauritius – the peaceful, idyllic island in the sun according to which, as poets and writers put it, heaven was created. Its 718 sq.miles of land are blessed by lush vegetation and breathtaking landscape while its coastline, spanning over some 200 miles, is the home of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, where golden sand naturally outlines the turquoise waters of the lagoon. Independent since 1968, the country became a republic in 1992. Sustained political and economic stability make it one of the most stable and successful democracies in Africa, and a world reference for harmonious multi-ethnic cohabitation. Vision characterised by continuous development and economic diversification into fresh sectors of activity is taking the island further in its dream to become a powerful regional platform with world class infrastructure. Imperial Gardens comes as the most wonderful reason on earth to be there !

abbreviations RES1:

The “REAL ESTATE SCHEME” was recently introduced by the government in order to promote and encourage foreigners to purchase freehold property in Mauritius. Any non-citizen, foreign controlled company or trust, acquiring a freehold property under this scheme is eligible to apply for permanent residency in Mauritius, through a number of simple prescribed procedures. The RES scheme has particular benefits of lower entry price point and better tax advantages. It also offers the opportunity of re-sale to foreigners in foreign currency. The real estate sector is very attractive due to a low tax policy : - A personal and corporate income tax of 15% - No tax on capital gains - No inheritance tax - No tax on dividends - Agreement on non double taxation with 35 countries

IRS2:

Under current law, the IRS homes are sold at a minimum price of US $500,000. The current prices are generally between 1 million and 4 million Euros on average.
