Fly Tying 1- Beginners Course

2013—2014 COURSES

The program is designed as the first step to educate beginning fly tiers to the basic principals needed to begin fly tying. The class begins with learning how to start placing the thread on the hook, adding basic body parts of the fly, adding the hackle, and tying off the fly. The class is the first step to the more advance classes which will include dry flies and nymphs.

The class is the first in the beginning series that will take the student from basic skills to the most complicated flies and lures.

The sight of a fish rising to a fly is the reward for which a fly fisherman lives. When the fly is one of his or her own creations, the reward is that much sweeter.
