Global Financial Market Thought Leader Summit 2014 - US Policies and their impact on Global Markets

Utrecht, March 12, 2014

CFA Society Netherlands cordially invites you to our event The Global Financial Market Thought Leader Summit 2014 - US policies and their impact on global markets. This half-day conference will bring you up to date on the ever-changing investment landscape in the United States, in addition to providing valuable market insights into how the rest of the global economy will fare in 2014. The US has weathered many storms of late, meteorologically but especially economically. Seemingly poised for higher growth, the expansive Fed monetary policies of the recent past may soon be poised to end, or at least to ”taper off“. The anticipation of this “tapering“ by the Fed has unleashed market reactions globally these past months. This has been felt especially acutely in the emerging markets, where the respective economic booms of certain countries have slowed and their currencies have lost in value relative to the dollar. Of course the end of quantitative easing in the US also has ramifications for Europe and the Euro. Finally, China and Japan are facing their own economic challenges in 2014. Many experts warn that the „forward guidance“ of major central banks, including the Fed and the ECB, have set up the financial markets for more insecurity instead of less in the coming months. Setting the stage and addressing these very current market issues is our impressive line-up of highly recognized and knowledgeable speakers; Andy Friedman, renowned US political affairs expert, Vital Proulx, CFA, President and CIO Hexavest, Philippe Waechter, Chief Economist Natixis Asset Management and James Rickards, best-selling Author of „The Currency Wars“, Portfolio Manager and US political insider. This event offers a rare opportunity to listen to leading thought leaders from the US and Europe discuss the current US situation and its impact on global financial markets. Don’t miss this high-level gathering of experts, who will cover both policy and economic issues and answer your questions in-person during this conference. Fees: €25 for CFA (Affiliate) Members €50 for CFA Candidates or partners (VBA, CAIA, AIF, RSM, UvA, TU, DSF) €75 all others
