BACKGROUND

RESULTS

 Little systematic information exists regarding the functional status of children with cardiomyopathy, how it compares to that or normal children, and whether it is correlated with socioeconomic status (SES), cardiac status, and later clinical outcomes.  Specialized services can be provided to children and their families who are identified as being at high risk of impaired physical and emotional functioning.
