Title
Supervisors Description
Computational model of cardiac function during treatment of myocardial infarction by injection of biomaterials. Professor BD Reddy, Dr S Skatulla
Investigate computationally the ecacy of the treatment of myocardial infarction by the injection of a range of biomaterials and hydrogels into the myocardial tissue. Models simulating heart function are implemented using a mesh-free method. The research goal is to gain quantitative insight into the types of materials, and relevant parameters thereof that are eective in improving heart function.
