MINISTRY TO THE HOMEBOUND:

Homebound members of the Parish should contact the Rectory Office to make arrangements to receive Holy Communion at home. Those in the Hospital should inform the Rectory.

The Ladies of Charity will be holding a bake sale this weekend, after all masses. Please support the Ladies of Charity and stop by the bake sale. Fall Grief Support Group The death of a loved one and the grief that follows can often be overwhelming. The pain from this loss, and the resultant life changes, may become overpowering for individuals, especially those who are suffering alone in their grief. The Holy Angels Bereavement Ministry will host a 6week Grief Support Group: Tuesday evenings, beginning September 19th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the rectory meeting room and continue each Tuesday through October 24th. To register, or for more information about the group, please contact Suzanne Hunter at 412462-9928. SECOND COLLECTION FOR HURRICANE HARVEY The U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has requested that a special emergency collection be taken up for the victims of Hurricane Harvey for humanitarian and church needs. Holy Angels will have this second collection the weekend of September 23rd & 24th, 2017. Please be as generous as possible to help our suffering sisters and brothers. September 20th is the Anniversary of the death of Father Dennis Doran, who entered God’s Glory in 1965. Father Doran was the Pastor of Holy Angels Parish from 1964 to 1965. The Little Sisters of the Poor will be with us after all Masses this weekend, September 16th & 17th, collecting to enable them to continue the work of their foundress, St. Jeanne Jugan, in caring for the elderly poor at their home on Benton Avenue in Pittsburgh. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (RCIA) BEGINS IN SEPTEMBER Are you or someone you know interested in becoming Catholic? Or are you a Catholic adult who would like to complete the Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist and/or Confirmation)?
