Quick Reference Guide

Download PDFs to iAnnotate

To view the Quick Reference Guide, select the “Quick Ref Guide 2.0.1” tab. This will explain the functionality of the toolbars

To download PDF files to iAnnotate, select the “Library” tab Select the “Connectivity” Tab

Select “Setup New Connections”

Opening a PDF To open a PDF that has been downloaded to iAnnotate, select the “Library” tab and select the PDF file

This will present three options for accessing PDF files: -

Setup a Dropbox Connection Set up a WebDAV connection Set up a Webpage connection

The connections that are set up will be available under the connectivity tab

2. Setup a WebDAV Connection Select “WebDAV” from the “Setup New Connection” menu Enter a name for this connection to distinguish it from other connections you may set up Enter the WebDAV URL and the username and password to connect to the WebDAV URL Select “Setup Connection”

Select a connection and select the PDF file to download it to the iAnnotate Library

1. Setup a Dropbox Connection Select Dropbox from the “Setup New Connection” menu Enter a name for this Connection to distinguish it from other connections you may set up Enter your email address and password to connect to Dropbox Select “Setup Connection”

3. Setup a Webpage Connection Select “Webpage” from the “Setup New Connection” menu Enter a name for this connection to distinguish it from other connections you may set up Enter the URL of the webpage

Select “Setup Connection”

When you select the Webpage connection from Connections it will take you the webpage. Select a PDF to download it Any PDF files you download from a webpage will be stored in the “Web Downloads” folder under “Library”

A web browser will open and you can browse to the PDF file (To return to iAnnotate, click on the “X” on the top right of the web browser) Select the link to the PDF file. This will download the PDF file to the “Web Downloads” folder under “Library” To open the PDF, on the bottom of the web browser, click on the red arrow next to the name of the PDF file

Web Download Web Download can be used to download a PDF file from a webpage without creating a Webpage connection From the Connectivity tab select “Web Download”

Transfer PDF files between the iPad and iTunes Once your iPad is connected to your computer, select “Prepare for iTunes transfer” from the Connectivity tab Once the transfer is complete a “Document Updates Complete” message will appear at the top of iAnnotate PDF
