[email protected] Pemerintah telah mencanangkan penerapan pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan karakter pun menjadi fokus Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional di seluruh jenjang pendidikan. Pendidikan karakter kini menjadi isu utama pendidikan. Selain menjadi bagian dari proses pembentukan akhlak anak bangsa, pendidikan karakter ini pun diharapkan mampu menjadi pondasi utama sebagai upaya penguatan jati diri generasi bangsa menuju sukses Indonesia Emas 2025. Pertanyaannya, mengapa karakter mampu menguatkan jati diri generasi bangsa? Perlu diketahui bahwa karakter berkaitan erat dengan penilaian baik buruknya tingkah laku seseorang didasari oleh bermacam-macam tolok ukur yang dianut masyarakat. Karakter terbentuk melalui perjalanan hidup seseorang, oleh karena itu ia dapat berubah. Jika temperamen atau watak tidak mengandung implikasi etis, maka karakter justru selalu menjadi obyek penilaian etis. Oleh karena itu, apabila dilakukan inisiasi pembelajaran pendidikan karakter pada kelas 1 SD diharapkan tumbuh suatu kebiasaan positif sejak dini. Dengan pertimbangan, perkembangan siswa kelas 1 SD berada pada tahap usia emas, apapun yang diterima seperti melukis di atas batu jadi tidak akan hilang. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran pendidikan karakter di kelas 1 SD guru dapat menumbuhkan dan memberikan contoh-contoh sikap yang positif pada sikap, proses pembelajaran, penerapan materi pembelajaran dan produk pembelajaran. Dengan inisiasi awal dari guru, diharapkan siswa akan meniru karena siswa kelas 1 SD berada pada tahap imitasi. Yaitu meniru seluruh sikap yang ada di sekitarnya. Pada akhirnya, jika meniru tersebut dilakukan secara terus menerus maka akan menghasilkan suatu kebiasaan yang positif. Dan apabila memiliki kebiasaan yang positif, maka akan terbentuk jati diri siswa yang berkarakter. Berdasarkan uraian di atas, inisiasi pembelajaran pendidikan karakter sebagai salah satu kunci terjadinya proses dalam penguatan jati diri siswa. Penguatan tersebut dilakukan melalui pemberian teladan oleh guru bukan melalui perintah ataupun tugas dari guru. Dengan pemberian teladan tersebut, harapannya siswa tidak merasa tertekan tetapi pembelajaran pendidikan karakter akan berjalan secara alami. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pembelajaran pendidikan karakter dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas 1 SD di semua bidang studi serta muatan lokal yang dipelajari siswa.

The government has launched the implementation of character education. Character education becomes the focus of the Ministry of National Education at all levels of education. Character education has become a major issue of education. In addition to being a part of the process of moral formation of the nation, character education is also expected to become the main foundation as an effort to strengthen the nation's identity to the successful generation of Indonesia Gold 2025. The question is, why the character is able to strengthen the identity of generations of the nation? Please note that the character is closely related to assessment of the pros and cons of behavior based on various measures adopted by the community. Character is formed through the journey of life, therefore he can change. If the temperament or disposition does not contain the ethical implications, then the character would always be the object of ethical assessment. Therefore, if conducted initiation character education lessons in grade 1 are expected to grow a positive habits early on. In consideration, the development of grade 1 students at the stage of golden age, any kind received as painting on a rock so it will not be lost. In the implementation of character education lessons in 1st grade teacher to grow and provide examples of positive attitudes on the attitudes, the learning process, the application of learning materials and learning products. With early initiation of teachers, students will be expected to imitate because of grade 1 student at the stage of imitation. This mimics the whole attitude around him. In the end, if the mimic is performed continuously it will generate a positive habit. And if it has positive habits, then the student will form a character's identity. Based on the description above, initiation of learning character education as a key to the process of strengthening the identity of students. The strengthening is done through providing a model by the teacher rather than through a command or task from the teacher. By giving these examples, hopes students do not feel
depressed but character education lessons will walk naturally. Therefore it is necessary character education lessons in the process of learning in 1st grade in all fields of study as well as local content students learned.
