Stunning venue, exhilarating performances, incredible attendance, Zee TV and record breaking donations are just a few words that sum up the highly successful 50th Annual Mahotsav. 1,100 people were treated to a packed programme consisting of traditional Indian cultural dance, raas garba, Bollywood mixes and a rib tickling Naatak performance. Spectacular light and sound facilities gave participants the opportunity to enjoy and revel in surroundings more accustomed to Pop Stars. Delicious lunchtime snacks as well as a sumptuous evening dinner was served by Preeti Caterers. A special plaque presentation was made to the three remaining members of the 1st serving SKA committee formed way back in 1960. These men were also given the honour of unveiling the special 50th Mahotsav souvenir and directory brochure. The day began........

50th Mahotsav Review
The 50th Mahotsav Review
The 50th Mahotsav started at 10.30am with Honorary President’s wife lighting the divo to Shri Ganeshji asking for his blessings for the success of the Mahotsav. This was followed by the Prathana (Deva o Deva) and Swagat Geet - Ghorepani Ko Swagat.
The Honorary President of the Mahotsav was introduced to the audience by Mahendra Hargovind Kabawala who spoke about the President's life. The Vyakti Vishesh was then introduced by Maheshkumar Harjivan Parmar and the Atithi Vishesh was introduced by Bhavin Shantilal Khatri. A two minutes silence was observed, as we remembered those who passed away and prayed that their souls, rest in peace. Mukesh Vallabhbhai Khatri and Devang Manilal Chauhan read out good wishes and greetings from various Kshatriya Mandals around the world, as well as from relatives and well wishers for the Mahotsav to be successful. The Souvenir Guide and Members Directory was announced for members to collect.
The entertainment began with mix dances Super 6 Mix, Where's The Party Tonight (Film) Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Shake followed by an Open Speech Session.
Next came the Bharatha Natiyam performance and a garbo Lembuda Na Leela Pera Paan. The Donation Appeal was announced followed by a folk dance Bham Laheri . Delicious lunchtime snacks were served and enjoyed by all. After lunch there was a Open Speech Session. This was followed by a dance Dhanno Bole Discowale Ahun Ahun, then a Raas Mune Gamto Kanudo Rupado and a dance O Re Piya (Film) Aaja Nachle.
Then came a garbo Aso Palav by Garba Khats. A special dance OAP 60 Plus and a dance Taal Sensation.
A Floral presentation was then made to the dignitaries who then gave entertaining speeches expressing their views and thoughts.
SKA President thanked all those involved to make this a successful Mahotsav.

Finally the Indian National Anthem was sung to end the entertainment segment of the day…but NOT the evening. The bar was open to quench the thirst that had built up during the day. The buffet dinner with vegetarian and nonvegetarian was then served by Preeti Caterers to the delight of all. The very successful day ended at about 10pm. SKA would like to thank each and every individual for their help in making this Mahotsav a huge success.
