Jacqueline Wilson

When I found out I had won tickets to go and see Jacqueline Wilson out of five thousand I screamed like mad, louder than my dog Lily! The next day I went to school and asked Jessica in year 6 what her favourite author is. She said, “Jacqueline Wilson!” so I thought great, she can come with me. At the end of the day I went home and told my mum that I would like Jessica to come with me. After we had tea my mum rang Clare (Jessica’s mum) and she was so excited then Jessica went in and asked if it was Maya and Clare told her it was me and that she was going to see Jacqueline Wilson and then Jessica knelt down on her knees and thanked the Lord. The next day she thanked me so much for inviting her to go and see Jacqueline Wilson. When we got there we were the first to be there because we left school early. It was very quiet apart from the people setting up. When we were ready to go and hear the talk we had to wait in a long queue. It was very hot in the room because the tension was building up then Jacqueline Wilson entered the room and everyone was screaming. The talk began and when it had finished we got our books signed by the lady herself. She told us that she started writing with a magazine company called ‘Jacky Mag’ and then she became a full time writer. Her favourite book which she has written is ‘Hetty Feather’. She enjoyed it so much she made another book that followed on from hetty feather so she called it ‘Sapphire Battersea’ what Maya and I both enjoyed reading. Then we had Mc Donald's. I Jessica had a big Mac and Maya had some nuggets with sauce then we had a mc flurry. Then we went home. By Jessica Gilmartin & Maya Wallace
